Easily the most iconic songs of Blind Guardian. And they've been around for a whole 36 years now (founded in 1984 as "Lucifer's Heritage" and renamed in 1987) :) They're from Krefeld, Germany, by the way.

I was there that night, singing along all the songs, being a proud
member of the Circle of the Bards. :D I had cramps in both legs due to
running around a 3-day festival in heavy boots, but it all didn't matter
then. :D

The Bard's Song was released in 1992. Everyone knew and loved this song when I was a teenager even if they didn't listen to metal at the time (like me). I mean you see the reaction of the crowd. 😊
Besides more Blind Guardian of course I highly recommend Ayreon "Age of Shadows" and "River of time" for more Hansi. I know you'll love the second singer in those songs too. 😁And "Age of Shadows" has a little surprise at the end you will REALLY enjoy.

Besides Mirror Mirror, would love to see you react to Nightfall live. Its from the Guardian album Nightfall in Middle Earth. The songs are all based on Tolkien's book "The Silmarillion" which is basically about how all the stuff that was resolved in Lord of the Rings started. Its another audience participation song, and I love it.

The Bard's Song is from 1992 and has been the bands anthem for almost 30 years now. Every fan of Blind Guardian knows the lyrics to this one :) Btw. they are a German band.

When you pass Wacken grounds and if you listen carefully you can still hear them sing.

Perhaps you don't know, but Wacken is a little village in North Germany. So why should Hansi Kürsch, the lead singer talk in Swedish to that huge crowd

The original studio version of this song (from the album Follow The Blind) has Kai Henson of Helloween as guest vocals and that version is awesome in its own right. I'll second the recommendation of Mirror Mirror.

If you love great live performances of classic german metal bands try the UNITED ALIVE versions of helloween classics like Keeper of the Seven Keys or A Tale that wasn`t right!
Check of Mirror Mirror live, especially the version from Imaginations Through the Looking Glass, when you search it'll be the 13 year old video lol (the quality is not perfect but good enough to be worth it since its an amazing performance).
