I like to put that MPC60 “plugin” on a return track to keep my channel and pad inserts free. It also allows you to dial exactly how much you want to drive it. Might not work for everyone, just throwing that out there. (In fact I often use a couple other returns for the 3000 and 1200 ring mod - the latter is great on instruments when you keep the gain of the return high, but just route a bit of it to your melodic instruments)
I know a lot of the purests aren’t fans of the newer versions of the MPC’s, but I’ll put my MPC One against a lot of the classic versions, based off what we’ve been able to do

I had similar issue. I plugged machine directly into my wifi box via cable.
