Is there anyone else who seems to go up to the rank just under the video that pig is doing? For instance, i couldnt break out of gold but once i watched the platinum video i got just barely to platinum but had a gold mmr. Now that the diamond video came out. Im on the rise again and I'm almost platinum 2. This series has been really helpful with odd details I was missing. Thanks Pig.
Hey PiG I just want to let you know that I love your contents and it is so appreciated because I am going through a rough time in my life where my mom is sick and my sister had large brain tumor removed that led to her getting three strokes--two of the most important people in my life. So your content has been a breath of fresh air and know that I value every bit of it. I have been taking notes on my word document on every ladder game, analyzing every replay, and really enjoying the losses as much as I love the wins. The losses are a teaching moment that I embrace. :D Thank you again for the support you have had to the community.

I keep saying these B2gm tutorials have made players so much more harder to go against. Its so nice to see and laddering is much more fun as well.. Anyway, That last game was wild. thnx for posting these. very enjoyable. ggwp kay
Just chiming in to say that, learning this b2gm a year later, once I got to plat a lot of my games vs plat-1 players started to look like this. I was hitting the ling-bane timings reasonably well, but more and more often they were just smashing into very well prepared P or T armies and I'd immediately die to a counter attack, or my army could never get built as it was getting fried repeatedly by blue flame hellions or shredded by multi-angle zealot runs. It hadn't really occurred to me that the player base may have just improved since last year, so I just kept grinding away with pure ling-bane, trying to make it to diamond. Now I think I'm going to need to start incorporating some of these lessons in P2 and P1 to carry on. Hope everyone's doing well since last year. Cheers!

When making a wall off(especially in ZvZ), why don't we use 3 evo chambers w/ a queen plugging the hole? Yes, the evo chambers are 100 less health at 750hp instead of the roach warren's 850hp but they cost half the amount of minerals, and they keep your roach warren safe inside your natural or main. Wouldn't the benefits of preventing the WR from getting sniped in the wall alone make it worth the restructure? Or is there some factor or factors I am not considering here? To me, it seem to make sense especially since PIG is teaching a roach build for the ZVZ matchups. Just a question from a lowly silver league noob trying his best to climb the ranks haha! I Appreciate any and all help.
Disclaimer: I am a plat player and this is purely speculative I think you may be underestimating the drone cost added in to every single building you make, having to make another building for the wall off doesn't cost 75 minerals, it costs 125+missed mining time. And at that point in the game (3-4 minutes) vs a zerg every mineral counts, the reasoning is most likely "we have to build a roach warren anyway, why not use it in the wall instead of wasting 125 more minerals for a bit of convenience "
So in the situation where they surprise you with an attack, snipe the roach warren relatively quickly and you can't build more roaches - the evo wall with safe RW would ALWAYS be the better choice. The question is, how often would that happen? 5%? 20% of your games? So if you're sacrificing a drone and 75 minerals every game for an advantage in this not that common scenario it might not be worth it. Don't get me wrong, if it's happening to you every game - sure hide the RW in the back! But first it might be better to improve your overlord scouting, to tighten your macro so you have enough units to defend your walloff, or to practice rebuilding your roach warren when you see a bust coming, rather than waiting till after it dies. Great question mate, hope that helps!

I'd advise the best way to learn is to share replays or games where you struggle to assess it and try to analyse and discuss with other SC nerds. Drone scout is for scouting, 4 queens don't help for that. It's two completely different openings. I assume you want to go 4 queens before 3rd or close after third ? If so, they can defend against a lot of things but then you gotta do something else to scout your opponent. I guess the pro of going 4 queens is to be able to defend against some early aggression and they can spread creep tumors a lot faster than a standard 3 queens opening. Each opening has its pros and cons.
Beating mass roach with mass spines looks sick in ZvZ lol. You know that you aren't going to match the numbers with zerglings with roaches in time, so why just don't turtle up a little bit and backstab while roaches are fighting with giant tentakles? Looks pretty sick man.
Are those recomendations applicable for platinum players? I find it rather hard to beat terran players, even 50% winrate seems unreacheble. Thanks for content anyway
Honestly I used to love the original Apollo tutorials, but since then I have met so many of these boosters especially in dota that Lower brackets have became the txicity hell.
I play diamond 1 NA, and I have to play against that bullsh*t mass muta into turtle lurker more often than I would like. Literally my least favorite thing to play against, more so even than mech players…
Oh man, you couldn't summarize it pretty well about the Dragon Ball Z episodes !!! It's a relief I "couldn't" watch them because I had to go to school when they aired on my TV. I'd have probably been bored if some episodes were to drag on like this... I mean, even the fights scenes from some michael bay movies bores me to death right now... Like, I get it it's for the "suspense" but those scene are, imo, unnecessary longs.
So now famous streamers and casters are hardcore smurfing and boosting the ladder to ruin the game experience of normal players? The only thing they prove is how blizzard dont care about their mmr system and the game in gereall. Harstem, pig, uthernal... all shame on u.

drone scout especially helps for spotting cannon rush, proxy gate, proxy rax and 12 pool. 4 queens is too late to help vs all of those
