agree with this , there were quite a few idiots at the koko, pushing in too the front when there was no space and the rest of us had been waiting. [like adults] for a couple of hours. so yeah get some manners. please.
Brutal crowd at Civic hall ( i was there ) I always just hover around the edge just in case it gets too much but it was hot sticky and steamy that night.Crowd seemed half drunk, pushing , fighting , screaming ...loads of Celtic shirts ( couple of Rangers ) and that was just the women !!!

The question is - why are people moshing at Simple Minds. You "mosh" for Sick Of It All or the Cro-Mags or Metallica circa 1990. Not Simple Minds.

Excellent speech i met him and the band backstage in Llandudno 2 nights before and i had a few but i think(i hope) i was courteous to him and that was last of drinking ever and Mr Burchill tried to talked to me and i threw a wobbler one of my biggest regrets. But hey ho of to see them and Midge boys in Manchester.

tbh from where i was it looked a normal mosh pit! We were at the front just to the left of centre. JK seemed to be looking behind us down the middle. What happened?
Brilliant vid nice to see Mr Kerr putting the piss heads in the crowd in there place they were most likely out of the pubs on a alternative sat nite out and not even fans of the band.

Nice one Jim... I saw them at Sheffield last night and noticed two things... first of all Simple Minds were superb, and secondly it was one of the most 'polite' gig crowds I've ever seen. People taking their turns at the bar - probably a Yorkshire thing as (like me) they were in no rush to pay 4 quid for a half of Carlsberg !
Imagine talking to your fans like that, people that have paid to see you. I'm sure Jim could have handled that with a little less disdain. Probably pissed off he's playing Wolverhampton Civic Hall while U2 are packing out Madison Square Garden.

Moshing at a Simple Minds gig?
I liked and saw Simple Minds a few rimes in the late 79's/early 80's but not what they became. Just another boring super group . I was a member of JB's Dudley from the mid1970's onwards. They refused to play the club because it was not "posh enough" for them .They left a single that the DJ Dermot smashed without playing to loud cheers.
Love simple minds but shame to say Jim is a terrible singer.
