I ship “NCIS’s” Nick Torres and Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop as well. These tribute videos of matchmaking can make it seem like two people are a big focus of a series. Some are. Some are not. Depends on the series. How it is executed. But, “NCIS”-which toyed too many years with Tony and Ziva (and not to a satisfying conclusion)-did give a Tim a life he deserves. He has a wife, and that match is wonderful, and they have twins boy and girl. A big reason to match other characters is not to play cupid. It is one of logic. Neither Nick or Ellie have personal lives established with other [recurring] characters. And that is because no one else is better suited to either character. Nick and Ellie appear to be so different from each other. But, why they are well-suited for each other is that they enlighten be each other. They learn from each other. They move each other. Since Nick has been on less time, it has been a gradual process. I think “NCIS” is handling it well. What really set it in motion, leaving no doubt, they need to be matched was “High Tide” [S15E12; 01.02.2018].
They are like the new tony and Kate/Ziva! He’s funny and goofy and flirty just like tony! I like them!
