so fun fact that I just realized after rewatching ncis in season 3 tony says ziva isnt his type but then several seasons later proceeds to fall for her in ncis la deeks says kensi isnt his type but then also falls for herand then in ncis again nick says ellie isnt his type I dont remember when he says it I think he was talking to tonys dad but do you guys see a patturn any time one of the guys says the girl isnt his type in ncis several seasons later said guy proceeds to fall for the girl. I dont know if this is intentional or a coincidence but its kinda freaky and it proves that nick is going to fall for ellie at some point also any time other characters point out relationships on ncis it usually happens like how everyone kept asking if tony and ziva were a couple or how senior asked if nick had a thing with ellie the writers are definitely setting up something
when he said ellie wasn't his type he was talking to all three of her brothers.
