Hello Avran of the internet, does bataleon have the same snowphobic footbed as cleaver? Really love those, snow never attaches to cleaver footbed. Thinking to switch to bataleon because of the infinite straps (it makes so much sense).
Just picked up a pair of these, curious about the footpad, im having trouble getting the back of the footpad to lock back into place like the front does. Not sure what im doing wrong, any advice?
I’m looking at the Rome Cleaver and Bataleon Atoms to pair with my 2023 BSOD. I like the stiff highback and full chassis of the cleaver but the Atom’s straps and footbed sound interesting as well. I do enjoy a very locked in feel and fast response, which binding do you suggest?
Follow up. Stiffer Boots definitely helped. In your opinion, do you think these would be a good match for a Nidecker Gamma APX? I'm being a weight weany.
There's no Skatetech so that changes the whole power dynamic underfoot. Straps are better conforming due to the shaping on them. Highback isn't as stiff.

@newrenaissance it's "Duracush" which is a notable upgrade to D30. It's a TPU foam like Adidas Boost: More damp, more energy, more better.

No I'm probably going to go to a Vice. But I did just get a new set of Black Labels so I think I'm good for a while.

More Freeride Atom, more all mountain freestyle Astro. I'd personally go Astro on the MM.

For size 10 boot right between M/L and L/XL. With that tight heel fit do you recommend going up to L/XL for that extra room?

Line it up with the prongs and hit it harder.

Very interesting. I have Rome Katanas and I like them but don't love them. Not enough lateral drive as I would like and this seems a little lighter...
You'd probably like a Cleaver as well. That full wrap chassis is what you need for more lateral drive.
Thanks for the tip. In your opinion, Cleaver/Falcor/Mercury? Or I could just suck it up and see how my new boots work with my Katanas
