I’ve said this a lot, but while I agree with the vast majority of what the villains are saying, them killing people is ultimately what makes them hard to follow. I get the whole, “going to far to make people listen” thing, but it definitely doesn’t make their end goal look very nice. In a lot of ways, their just as hypocritical as people like Endeavor, just on the other extreme end.
Aside from Spinner it's illogical to agree with anyone else. Shigaraki curses the flawed system. But wants to create a even more flawed society were villains get their way with power. Toga again is wrong. It's not a matter of survival. She isn't drinking blood to live. The whole argument of curing is bs. She drinks blood of anything she finds cute or attractive. What's to say that doesn't include kids. And Dabi. He is worst of the group.. His past trauma doesn't give him the license to burn innocent people. Endeavour was bad sure but bringing down the whole hero culture is stupidity. Soldier do bad stuff sometimes. But if you bring down the entire military because of one, well look at countries overrun by terrorists. But no one comes close to Stain. All Might and Deku are great heroes. They are also suicidal and insane in universe. Not every can be like them and neither should they try to. Stain's ideology doesn't work at all from a logical standpoint
@@Agent-57 Okay, firstly, I said aside from the killing, you brought the killing back into this. 😅 Secondly, you’re kinda twisting some stuff around here. And even if he did, I still like the idea of tearing down the current hero society since it sucks pretty hard. He’s rightfully resentful. Still though, Touya’s mistreatment shouldn’t go unchecked either, and he has every right to call out Endeavor on the things that he never publicly owned up to. @57 there's a few. Especially looking at the top 2 heroes. No sympathy for the devils huh😂😂. But I can understand the feeling, the League of Villains can come off unaware hypocrites. Some of their sentiments and feelings are valid, but they kind of make them invalid by their actions.
I don't think fans necessarily need sympathy for the villains. I think the intent of the author is to make us empathize with them. Empathy doesn't necessarily require us to forgive what they do but understand where they are coming from and how they got there. That is majorly important to the story because while the League shouldn't get free passes and not face any consequences, they heroes and civilians need to learn how they came to be and avoid overlooking people that are tittering on the edge and help save them before they become the next Shigaraki, or Toga, or Dabi.
I would say that’s kinda an oversimplification. Their words are still valid as heck, it’s just that their horrible actions aren’t. They don’t invalidate their words, but it’s definitely hypocritical and deserving to be called out.
Tbh Shigaraki's goals are the most important and valid of any of the league. A society that puts people who are unfortunate down and the heroes don't help them but instead ignore them, that's why Shigaraki is hell bent on destroying this society otherwise there will be just more Shigaraki's in the future
To add to this in Shigaraki's backstory we saw regular people ignored a child who was in clear distress and convinced themselves that a hero would solve it. Any person there could have helped that boy and took him to the police, but they ignored him. As a result, the wrong person helped him, and groomed him into becoming the monster he is today. I agree with fans who don't feel sympathy for the villains, but I do think they should listen to villains and try to understand how they got there, because a lot of their issues are valid criticisms and flaws in the system. It doesn't give them a free reign to do whatever they want. At the same time if these issues were handled better the League of Villains might not exist.
