Martin, from what I know of the new Competitive mode, they're changing it to basically be the same as CS:GO, and that game is ridiculously popular. The problems will probably sort themselves out after a lot more people start playing it and get ranked so the system will be able to work properly, it probably can't handle unranked players that well.
I remember that I travel to a camping course for a few weeks and for error I left my computer searching a competitive match, 4 weeks later it still searching xd.
I hope that the Heavy update, or whatever update that comes next, gives competitive mode a huge fix. From the matches I was able to find, I enjoyed playing them more than casual. It sucks that competitive is in the state that it’s in. Wishful thinking I know, but still, competitive mode needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
Why don't you try Twomad and Mccreamy, they have gaming vids simmilar to this one, im Not promoting anything, Just listing the one's martin took inspiration from.

I'm afraid to play comp because I have mostly zero confidence in myself and I don't wanna be a buzzkill for the others that are trying to stay reassuring. Also, one of my worst fears is to cause my team to lose for not being good enough or fast enough, so I guess I never wanna play comp because there things are taken extremely serious and one mistake weight a lot more.
