Tekla Structures 2019i - Create item shapes and edit model geometry

Tekla Structures 2019i can import Sketchup .skp files. In addition to importing item shapes, you can create shapes using existing geometry and parts in Tekla Structures models. You can then use the shape when you create items in the model. You can also modify items and shapes further in the Geometry editing mode by dragging vertexes, edges, and faces.
Watch as we create and edit item shapes. We’ll use the new plate part type for steel called lofted plate. This command allows us to utilise the construction line arcs and circles to model rolled plates and plates with double-curved form. When ready we’ll attach our imported shapes and lofted plate together to create one single object using the Attach to part command. Finally, we’ll use the Create shape from geometry command to save our shape to the Shape Catalog and use it to create a new item within our model..
