      Nice to see the legend himself leave a message on this video. A bottle of this caliber definitely deserves the attention of the Guru. Pretty sure this is the third time I've watched this video myself, looking back at the journey would you score this higher or lower now if given the chance? Cheers gentlemen.

      This one would probably score the same or maybe 1 point less. To be honest we have tried some of the most incredible this last year, some real museum pieces that we cant wait to review in the future. The better stuff you try, the lower other whisky scores will go. So throughout our whisky journey , we keep lowering our previous scores, in some rare cases we will raise the score too.
      We appreciate that bud. We watch and enjoy your videos as well. Cheers!

      I find I've been doing the same thing throughout as well. Most cases lowering previous scores. Can't wait to see what you guys have lined up.

      If I remember correctly it was around $1,800 back then.

    A thousand dollar dram, thanks for recording this guys. I’d rather deck out with 10 x $100 bottles, but I appreciate an average whisky fan nutting up for it.

      That is awesome my friend. I am very jealous that you still have yours. Haha. You will love it. We regret pouring so much, a little goes a long way since it's so potent and the flavor lasts a very long time. Let us know when you try it. Cheers.

    Excellent review!!!
    Would really like your reviews on Highland Park 18, 25 and 30yo. In my humble opinion, the 21yo is not good value.

      Not cheap. $1800. It was a dream bottle for us to try and an xmas present for ourselves. As we seek the perfect malt, we will overspend on whisky. Not smart but too much fun and amazing memories.

    What if you put a cube of ice in there?Have you just destroyed a great whisky? :P xaxa

    • @maltreviews
      @maltreviews  8 лет назад +1

      +michalis papa Yah the ice would not only water it down but change the flavor when the whisky gets too cold.
