I had someone tell me once, " You are so lucky you do not have to go school supply shopping". Our school shelves looks like Office Depot haha. I am also convinced the sock fairy also steals pencils and glue. I am always restocking those two items.
Hey sweetness, I am totally a homeschool nester too. I am watching your video and painting the trim and doors in my master bedroom as we speak. 🙌🏾 I am doing a complete makeover. Then on to some deep purging of the rest of the house and our homeschooling spaces. I am getting my carpets professionally cleaned as well. I do this every year. I can’t properly begin a homeschool season without doing ALL the things. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙋🏾♀️

I'm the same way with the "homeschool nesting!" I want everything done before our school year starts so I'm not distracted!
I will admit that I bought a ton of things that I'm not even prepared to use yet. I was so excited about my decision to homeschool that I went a little crazy. So, I'm going to save some of the supplies for later. But, I agree with other comments, if we had a Target and Hobby Lobby next to one another, I'd be in trouble. haha. Cute supplies, the outfits were super cute, and it looks like you are all going to have a great year.

I’m in Canada and we don’t have Hobby Lobby...so jealous!! Do you have Michaels in the U.S.? We have Michaels, but Hobby Lobby seems to have so much more! 😊 How fun that your kids got to come shopping with you. They all seem so sweet! ❤️

Nesting before homeschool is totally a thing! We did a major purge and clean up of our house before starting. My brain functions so much better without clutter and a looming list of everything around the house that needs done.
Yes! I go this nesting phase every year! It’s just easier to get back in a routine/schedule when the house is clean and organized and it’s one less thing to worry about in those first few days of getting it together again! I also find that I do this around Christmas break so that it’s all ready for the new year!
Nesting before the new school year is a thing! We've done our school supply shopping and I'm tackling last minute house projects before the big day. Thank you for this video, I wish I had a Hobby Lobby close by! So sorry for the loss of your precious pup.

I really love that you let them pick out an outfit! We are going supply shopping tomorrow, and I will do the same 🙂 I don't plan on telling them until the rest of the shopping is done, and then I'll surprise them. Fun!

Omg yes!! Prehomeschool year nesting is a real thing! I feel ya! I ended up doing a science fair display board and Velcro for our vocab wall.....after I bought a magnetic whiteboard for it 😂😂 decided I liked the white board to write stuff on.

What an awesome home school haul! I just finished all of our little projects before we started last week. I just feel so much better when the house is prepped and organized well. Happy new school year☺☺

I can't wait until I can "nest"! Our house closes august 28th and so I have to wait to buy anything ( other than curriculum- that was ordered in June). Labor Day weekend I will be supply and furniture shopping for sure!

Hobby lobby and target next to each other 😵 that would be the death of my budget lol! This is my first year doing homeschool and I absolutely am feeling the “nesting”
My mom would buy my shorts in the boys department because they were so much longer, and were more likely to have drawstrings.

Hp instant ink is awesome! You pay for a certain amount of pages a month which is super cheap and they send your refills in the mail of ink as you use them.
I think Marine Biology requires 10 cups of sand! 😳 It so much but I didn't want you to be caught off guard. Great video, I love watching your family and homeschool.

I was just going to post this! We just finished this activity and I sent my kids to dig in the front yard b/c, I was so unprepared😳. Our “beach” had leafs and twigs in it😂😂😂😂

I love how you let them pick a notebook and binder and first day outfit. And thanks for the reminder I need paper. We are doing that Marine Biology unit in January.

I have the same problem finding clothes for my tween daughter (she would be gr 6 this year if she were in public school). So difficult to find modest clothing for girls these days.

Homeschool nesting is such a real thing lol I clean my house like my in laws are staying for a week hahahaha then everything is also put in its place and our homeschool nook is organized and by the end of the first week it's a mess hahaha

I love it when you do these hauls because I get to live vicariously through you since we currently live in Europe. :) Also, you might want to check out Girl Defined to help motivate your daughter if you feel like you're ever battling with 'appropriate' clothes. They've done some good videos that help cast a vision for dressing. Unfortunately you guys are all on youtube and get trolls, but our girls (and me) really enjoy their videos (and yours!).
I have everything I need homeschooling new school year. At Christmas I may in get new workbook for next grade level but that it.

Wow you guys have so many options in the US! I've been getting our TGTB supplies together and having a hard time finding some of the items.
Will Toolboxes for teaching ship internationally? I’m in the US but, this is our 1st year and I had enough on my hands so, I ordered a toolbox for every TGTB course I ordered including the LA levels. I think they were very fairly priced and saved me a load of time!

Question for you. We are a secular family, but I am still using TGTB language arts because it only has minor God references that we can skip over, but my question is, the marine biology unit....does that have mentions of God and creationism?
yes:) its from the standpoint that God created it all, and references scripture
