How I miss those wonderful funny, feel good, family programs. I never missed an episode. Danny Thomas was such a wonderful, giving, caring, generous, loving human being. I donate to St. Jude as often as I can in his memory. Thank you Mr. Thomas for so many years of wonderful memories. Too bad all the class was back then. Sure would be nice to have those type of shows.

Loved the commercials, reminded me of my family growing up.

Those cigarette commercials sort of mar the good feelings the show evokes. So many years later, it is like watching a Svengali hypnotize the audience into a lung cancer future. The dark side of a wholesome show. I’ve been fast forwarding through those commercials.

I think it's cute that Danny Thomas named the characters Margaret and Terry after his two daughters (Marlo's real name is Margaret) and even used Marlo's middle name, Julia, for Danny's mother-in-law on the show. Years later, Marlo took the name of her character on 'That Girl,' Ann Marie, from her parents' names, Danny and Rosemary.

The robe that Danny puts on Margaret is perfect. Danny adjusts the collar when he puts it on Jean, to be more flattering and feminine.

Thank you for these! Jean Hagen was a beautiful woman! I have seen her as Lina Lamont and Frieda Daniels in two different films*please reply if you can guess them* I have never seen these episodes of MRFD! Huge Marjorie Lord fan! I know she and Danny Thomas did not get along very well but these are gems to watch!

I did not know that there were 4 seasons previous to the ones when Danny Williams was a widower.

Three seasons (1953-'56). After Jean Hagen left, Danny was determined not to being "Margaret" back- so much, he literally wrote her out of the series by having her die before the fourth season began. "Danny Williams" became a widower in season four...and was just as determined to be married again by the end of the season. He "auditioned" several prospective women as his "dates" that season, but Danny later said there was no chemistry between *any* of them. In late 1956, he and Rosemarie went to see a production of Moss Hart's "Anniversary Waltz" in a small theater on Wilshire Boulevard.......and saw Marjorie Lord on stage. He was impressed with the way she handled her co-star-- and afterwards, went backstage to ask her to audition for him and Sheldon Leonard. "Kathy" first appeared in an April 1957 episode- and both he and the audience liked seeing them "spar" together. The last episode of the season had her proposing to him......and when the series moved to CBS in the fall of 1957, Danny and Kathy were married.

Why is it pronounced PELL MELL?

Why all these stupid cigarette ads.

Believe it or not, that is the proper and correct pronunciation. Many, many years of cigarette commercials absent from the airwaves have resulted in a lack of awareness on the part of the public of this.
