Why not simply wait 5 seconds and check his ear instead of a stoppage that effected the outcome of the fight. All due to a bit of scar tissue from cauliflower ears. So i'll say it again, shit decision.
Great fight but I can't wait until this sport gets ironed out with more serious athletes and techniques for preservation. IMO it'd be better if they could use elbows to save their hands - can't believe the headshots these guys guys throw with what have to be broken hands. Reminds me of the old Bas Rutten fights where he'd palm strike mofo's
