I love plants and have several. I put most of them outside in the late spring. I have to cut most of them back when I bring them in for winter. I live in Indiana, and we can have pretty nasty winter weather. My daughter is currently growing a constellation monstera, which she promises to give me a start of when it is ready. I really like pothos and the plant with the arrow shaped leaves for my betta tanks. They grow really well, and the roots make great resting areas for the boys. Great video!
So right at 5:56 on the right side you can actually see my first unusual favorite emersed aquarium plant, which is Dracaena! Looks like the top of a pineapple, basically. They work well if you can get them before they grow a trunk, and instead of growing tall they'll grow incredibly bushy. :) I'm also extremely fond of Asparagus Fern, for its tiny, delicate, fluffy-looking leaves. It looks like a miniature bamboo forest once it starts to fill out! Lastly, Hemigraphis Alternata (also known as "Purple Waffle" plants) grows amazingly out of the top of aquariums, and can actually even spend about a month at a time submerged in the tank, because in its natural habitat it's often exposed to flooded conditions. It has a gorgeous rich royal purple under-leaf and deep hunter green leaf tops. An eye-catcher for sure!
I have some basic spider plants in a couple of my tanks! Needed something that would be safe should my cats find a way to chew on them- which they have managed a couple times. I also have some lucky bamboo in another tank- if that count as a houseplant.
I got two of my dream bettas one piccaso and a female koi they are so so pretty any keeping advice for me i have kept and bred bettas for a while and if you want to see them there on my channel
So happy for you! If they are male and female, the biggest piece of advice is to keep the separate when you aren't breeding them. I'll have to check out your channel! 😊
I loved your begonia with the polka dots, it was so pretty!

Thank you so much for sharing! This was so interesting to read. I think all those plants are new to me, I'll have to check them out!
Yay thank you! I've been wanting to add plants to my tank but nervous as he has hurt his fin before
Soft plants like the ones shown won't hurt your betta, so there's nothing to fear! 😊

@@Bodoramzap that’s neat! I haven’t tried a spider plant yet 😃
Buy a dragon fruit, take the seeds out, plant them, transfer the seedlings to water.
can you show a close up of your tank? 💚
@@RT1home yes! I’ve created tank tour videos before as well you can check those out :)
