I kept going going back because I knew you were correct…even when I wasn’t ready to receive it. Now I use it to send to my friends going thru tough times. Thank you for sharing your experience and thank you for sharing the word. It’s so huge!! I can’t type the words that mean how much it has meant to my life. Best wishes friend/brother. THANK YOU

I just stumbled on this and wanted to thank Mike and Way-FM for sharing. I was 27 and just born again so scripture came alive to me and some very kind folks explained the need we have to not harbor hatred in our hearts. It made sense that God wanted me to clear out the "junk" I stubbornly hung on to against people that I just could not/would not forgive. Thankfully, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I wrote my dad that letter and from the second I dropped it in the mailbox I felt a release. My self-imposed "chains" were broken. My burden was light. Truly, God did something very tangible that moment that paved the way for me not to be anxious about repeating the sins of my earthly father. And yes, it didn't seem to make sense to me at the time but isn't that so often a part of faith?

You're welcome. God is so good. He has truly done a great work in my heart unchaining it to be free from hate and opened to His amazing love. So encouraging to hear the many testimonies related to the songs Mike and band create and stations such as WAY-FM make available to their audiences. Thanks for your faithfulness to not shy away from the tougher issues folks face.

Tenth avenue north has inspired me. Their songs We Won’t Numb The Pain, I’m listening, and the song For Those Who Can’t speak has inspired me to change the world. I’m only 17, but since I was born, I have always had this love to help people. One of the reasons why I have wanted to change the world was last Sunday night when I was in bed praying to God. I was mad that I had been pressured to be in a romantic relationship by a guy at school, and another guy at school who I told him that I want a guy who wouldn’t treat me badly like my parents do because I have autism ( they label me when I get angry and act like they understand my autism but they show that they don’t)who asked out loud, “ how about sex?”,I had said “no” to the first guy after I realized that it would be better for me to wait another year. I told him “I just want to be friends,” At first I trusted him, but then I felt uncomfortable because I don’t want to kiss him, make out or date him. My thoughts when he would flirt with me was all the stuff that goes on in our teenage culture. I am a girl who wants to be modest and save sex for marriage. I told him that I was uncomfortable and scared that he would (force me into going into the next level). Then he wanted me to admit to him that I accused him of rape, but I didn’t. My family didn’t support me through all of this. I got blamed for it, like I do for everything else.
My best friend at school soon started dating him. I was worried for her. A lot of stuff happened between my friend and this guy that was toxic (him). He then decided to send her an inappropriate picture over text and told her that if she didn’t send one back he would kill himself. That’s sexual harassment and I hate it. I hate sexual immorality and I’ll do anything to flee it. I 100% agree with what God says about that. I want to be a public speaker against these things that happen in schools, Autism ( which I have, and the school that I go to revolves around), and sex trafficking. God hates sexual immorality and because he didn’t create the world this way, I want to be a light for him. I also want to be there for people who are struggling, especially myself. “Normal” people say that autistic kids and people lack empathy but it’s the other way around. In my family, I see that they lack empathy and understanding. It’s a big struggle for me to deal with my autism, but I’m glad God created me this way so I may be in their shoes. I also love music so much that I want to do my own covers for Christian songs and artists to spread more of God’s light. I know it’s a big dream for me, but I know that helping people and the world become a better place is why I’m here on this earth.
    Thank you, Mike Donehey.

I just learned a personal lesson on forgiveness. I was wrongly treated by a boss. My first response was bitter anger. Then, eventually I made the decision to forgive her because I wanted peace at any cost. Once I made up my mind, I made the statement "I forgive my boss." I also made another decision....I knew my emotions would lie to me, so I declared that they would not be in charge based on my declaration. I said I would stand my ground. And it works!!!

I believe it is indeed fair to forgive even if you are hurt and it isn't right to hold grudges because it will hurt badly down the road mike is right if you hold resentment you will only hurt more and Jesus wants us to be forgiving because we mean it and because we are all his children blessed be you all

Thank you for the video and God bless you. I wanna take this opportunity though to say something that might make some people feel uncomfortable.
Are there really that many people, who struggle to forgive in the church? Isn't this topic a liitle bit overtaught? Maybe someone wanna take a break and think about it.
I don't know and I cannot tell for America. I live in Germany. I thought for about 5 years that I was living in unforgiveness towards my parents, who sexually abused me and committed other crimes against me. I was never able to receive my healing, because every single „shepherd“ told me I was bitter/ in unforgiveness. The problem was though I wasn't bitter and the false wolfs in sheeps clothing wanted to use this thing to make me feel inferior and to manipulate me. It seems to me that people always assume when you suffered a hurt or a crime from someone you must be living in unforgiveness and they even refuse to pray for you. The church is enabling manipulators and controllers right and left by having a wrong idea of unforgiveness and forgiveness. I have been to many churches, that enable child abuse because of a religious delusion. There are lot of fakes behind pullpits using people for their own narc supply and the church is silent and pretends this was all godly.
How much longer wanna people put up with people in leadership sexually abusing children? Yes, people need to forgive these crimes. But can they not be prevented? I don't think this happened in bible times as often as today. And hey, people need to acknowledge themselves when they were traumatized. There are rape victims, who are not even conscious of what happened to them. If you don't even acknowledge something bad happened to you, by default, you are in unforgiveness. Is somebody hearing this?
