    For those that keep asking and wondering. There is a spectrum of colorblindness, his can see blue, just not shade of it. It's reds and greens he can't see. The link below has a video to demonstrate what his colorblindness looks like.

      Jake Rock so to summarize, he can’t see the Christmas’s decorations?

    • @JakeRockPhp121
      @JakeRockPhp121  6 лет назад +27

      Yes, that's what it means. The video I attached shows a more vivid look at his deficiency. He is red/green colorblind mostly. He can see a very simple shade of blue, while red and green shades look like the same color. A Christmas tree and decorations would all look very similar.

      Jake Rock could he have seen color at one point in his life then he went color blind because I'm wondering how he knew the colors if he never seen it? Just wondering no offense sorry 😐.....

The glasses don’t actually let you see color, they just make the colors brighter and more vibrant so that you can tell the difference between them easier. In other words, this man “seeing color for he first time” or “seeing the world how everyone else sees it” is clickbait. No hate though, I wish you the best and hope that someday they will develop glasses that can fully cure colorblindness. I just didn’t want you to be disappointed if you ever get a pair of these.

    • @lancepaugeron9823
      @lancepaugeron9823 3 года назад +4

      @@soul_820 thats what the glasses do for people with normal color vision. For people with certain types of color blindness, their brain cannot distinguish between the different wavelengths of light, and for example people with deuteranopia will see red and green as different hues of the same color. With enchroma, it helps separate the wavelengths of light so that normal people will see colors more vibrantly, and people with certain types of color blindness will be able to distinguish the colors enough to see new hues of colors they haven't been able to see before. No, it's not a "cure" for color blindness, but many times they are seeing colors that are new to them. That is why so many grown men completely break down into tears when they put them on. They don't work for everybody though.

      KingZ kinda, but not really sexist against women if you think about it. men are pressured by society to not show their feelings openly or be very in tune with their emotions bc its not seen as "manly." so I feel the same way when I see a man crying: its hard to see someone who I am used being "manly" showing vulnerability as women are typically seen, making me very emotional. if we as a society stop assigning roles for people (male OR female) to play I don't think that I would have this reaction :)

    Нам здоровым людям от природы, никогда не понять тех, кто чего-то лишен: нормального зрения, слуха, части тела. Но то что для таких людей делают ученые, инженеры, креативные люди, дают им увидеть, услышать, почувствовать себя полноценным человеком, это потрясающе, честь и хвала таким людям.

    • @soul_820
      @soul_820 4 года назад

      Gemma Kiss no problem! The main problem with the video is just the misinformation about how colorblindness works and how the glasses work. I think the family may have just been misinformed, and there may not have been any ill-intent. Anyways, colorblindness cannot be cured. This man is not “seeing full color” as the title says. All the glasses do is make the colors brighter and more vivid, so the man can tell the difference between them easier. By no means is he now able to fully see red and green, as he is red and green colorblind. He just sees brighter versions of what he normally sees when he looks at red or green, and the families in these videos are usually trying to tell the colorblind person that those colors ARE red and green. They often say things like “now you can see what we see” which is sad because it’s not true. However, this is still a beautiful moment, and this man can now tell the difference between the colors much easier. I just didn’t like that they are trying to convince you that this man is now seeing “full color”. Hope this helps!
