If you are in the market for an absolutely amazing Sluice box please head over to kreegersluice.com/
They make in my opinion the best backpack sluice box. It is very durable, lightweight, easy to set up, and fast to clean out. Their sluice is my go to sluice when I go gold prospecting.

Man that looks like a great time, out in the wilderness and finding some gold
Oh it is! I wish I could go more often. 4 and a half hours while having kids is a little rough. If it were closer I could go on day trips all the time. I’m leaving for my home state of connecticut on Friday and will be trying my hand at prospecting in the rivers there. Hope to find even a few specs. Crazy to think I grew up there and never even tried when there were rivers 15 minutes away from my childhood home that had some in it.
@@TennesseeMotosMining good luck I hope you do well, but even if you don’t find gold, find peace in what you do
That’s the goal! Thanks brotha!!!
I know that area really well. I've been going down there almost 20 years. Lots of gold if you can find it. The burn is from a fire a few months ago.
That burn was a big eye opener to the terrain around there. Wish we weren’t so limited to the river and could actually explore. I am still relatively new to prospecting so I still have a ton to learn about
Buy a Keen supper sucker if you’re working crevices under water!
I thought about that. I’ve seen some cool sucker tubes attached to buckets that would be VERY helpful. Though I may try to build one myself first. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome Vid! looks like a very healing experience.
I’ll be in ct on Saturday with the family. Going to give a few local rivers a shot while I’m up there with the kids. Your more then welcome to come!!
@@TennesseeMotosMining I won’t be in CT untill Wednesday will you still be around?
@@ThePuckyShow yea I’ll be there for like 2 weeks.
@@TennesseeMotosMining awesome!
CT. Thats where I'm from. Meriden. I live across from you in Hixson/Chatt area. next to the river gorges in Soddy. Nice to find your vids. Thanks.
Thanks for commenting! I grew up in Bristol. Whenever I go visit family I take a few days to prospect. Always a ton of fun. I hope to earn your subscription! Main focus right now video wise is the “Motos” side of my channel since I haven’t gotten out prospecting in a few months. But I have a Vermont prospecting video I will be releasing in the next few weeks hopefully.
Tennessee. how is it going?, super. what a professional -
I wish lol everything is filmed and edited on my phone and I no longer have even a tripod. Wish I could have drone shots like what you posted on your channel and would like to add music but every time I do I get a copyright strike
I thought I saw a couple of ginseng plants when you were panning around the mountain side. If it was ginseng you should go back after September 1st and you could actually make some pretty good money
I never noticed that lol. Always just looking for the gold and looking out for snakes. Terrified of snakes. Picked a bad hobby to stay away from those I guess. If I lived closer to that area I would go pick some. Thanks for the comment!
@TennesseeMotosMining have you ever dug ginseng? If you're ever around the Sevierville Tennessee area from September 1st thru late November hit me up and we'll dig some lol. I do this every season
Never. Honestly didn’t even know it grew around there. Looked it up and sounds like you can make a good amount of money doing it during that timeframe. Add me on instagram or Facebook and send me a message so we can keep in touch. I live near fort Campbell ky on the Tennessee side. So it’s a few hours from me.
@TennesseeMotosMining yeah it's actually really good money but it's getting harder to find it for several reasons but mostly because there are some people that dig it before it's legal to dig it. They want to get a jump on everyone but they don't realize that when they dig it early the ginseng berries don't mature and drop off the plant so that means no new ginseng plants get the chance to grow. I made over $5'000 in about 3 months last season and I follow the rules
Wow that is amazing! Better money than gold by far in the area. I understand people wanting to get a jump on others but definitely not good for the preservation of the plant. I just read somewhere that panning for gold at Coker creek isn’t allowed anymore because of people breaking the laws. It’s unfortunate. The more laws are broken, the more government steps in and the less people are allowed to do.
The white heavy's are corroded lead shot. Show us more TN gold 😁
I’ll be going back soon! Hopefully I can attempt to snipe for gold next trip as well. Also will be posting a nice little paydirt unboxing and panning that my friends over at Kreeger Sluice sent me with their California gold!
@@TennesseeMotosMining Great ! I was at Wildcat creek yesterday. I did not find anything but my friend found a few flakes.
I’ve never gone there because of the hike that I’ve heard of. Is it really that bad to get out? I have bad hips and a bad back. So it concerns me. Though I do end up hiking at Coker about 2 miles.
You would be fine. I think people are gate keeping
We find gold up here in the Unaka mountains far upper East Tennessee right next to North Carolina .
I’d go up that way if it wasn’t so far of a drive. I live a little north west of Nashville. So when I go prospecting I stay for 4 to 5 days in the same spot. Wish it was just a day trip lol.
Where is this i live in Newport Tennessee never heard of gold out this way?
This is at Coker creek. I believe the actual town is Coker creek Tennessee. There is a Facebook gpaa Coker creek group that you could join. In the files on the page there is a list of what other rivers around that area that are legal to pan in. I go to this river for convenience. The other major one people find gold in is wildcat creek. It’s just too bad of a hike for me to do daily. At Coker, you can camp right at the river for free.
I prospect in the creeks coming out of the smoky mountains….
Coker creek. I want to go to wildcat some time but I’m worried about the hike back up haha.
I went yesterday. It’s not that bad.
There is gold in the pigeon river test pan a few inside curves away from the tourists..
Your allowed to prospect there??
@@TennesseeMotosMining OUTSIDE of the national park..
Ah alrighty. Thank you! I am probably heading there this year again unfortunately during the winter. So I’ll give it a shot again.
@@TennesseeMotosMining yes I have a level 2 permit that allows for a 6” inch dredge…
