Hi, thanks for your videos, I love them all. I am Brazilian and in love with everything that is old. I'm very happy when you buy things I liked, thank you very much. Have a great day.
Happy Holidays Sonya, your video was wonderful gift to your Fans❤️🎄❤️. When I find some chairs at GW’s and the price includes the dining table, I buy the lot, then I donate the table back, so no one needs to move the table, it is a win win for all! Another rule I have, when I bring in more treasures I donate other items back to GW, so I don’t become a crazy hoarder. Can’t remodel my home, so this works for me. Thanks again, love you❤️🎄👏❤️🎄👏❤️🎄👏❤️🎄👏❤️🎄👏
If you don’t want to polish the silver rimmed bowls wipe them with Tarnex to remove the discoloration (read the instructions) and then use polish to shine them up. Works really well and quickly!
Omg!! That vintage Sadler teapot! So cheap. I’m a big tea pot collector. Don’t have that one, but I do have a similar yellow rose Sadler. Your videos r the best!!

Do you think with so many people moving out of CA to relocate that the thrift stores get the items these folks just do not want to take with then? Some of those glass serving bowls were lovely. There must be something about CA that there is just so much antique and vintage merchandise available. Put two stuck bowls in a sink of soapy water and they will come apart. Polishing does not take that much time. I collect CA pottery and love MMC pieces. Enjoyed the video. Keep it up for us here on the east coast.
I work at a big thrift store in Dallas Texas. We process and stock clothing and miscellaneous items all day.. We open at 9 am, but the best time to come in is around 10, when the first carts and racks begin to come out. So many people complain about prices, but you have the dealers to thank for that. Thrift stores used to be just that, a place to buy at low prices, but managers jacked up prices to make a bigger profit. They call it supply and demand. I personally call it unfair to customers buying for personal use.
@@LazyDIY-THRIFT To add to what Robin is saying, the employees at Goodwill and other thrift stores know the resellers that come shopping there and cater to helping them with items they are interested in. I have watched more than one reseller youtube channel going into thrift stores with their cameras and one employee behind jewelry counter even stated she knows the type of items he is interested in so she pulls things from behind the counter to show him. He shows items to his you tube followers right then and there and how much they cost and how much he will sell on eBay and youtube and they comment on good things he got and ones he should have gotten and tell him in comments items they are interested in. There should be regulations set for Goodwill and other non-profits that mission is supposedly to create jobs and sell items to low income people. Government is not monitoring these businesses as they should. I no longer shop at Goodwill.
The "original water color" looked like it was numbered. A print? Signed and numbered and very well done but still, it''s a print. Good video. Enjoyed it.
They also sell the more expensive items online or in their "Goodwill Boutiques" too. There's one not far from me. The prices there are what u'd expect to pay on sites like EBay, Itsy & so on. Some prices are just crazy though! Saw a program abt this on 60 Mins or some other show like that a few yrs back. But yes, of course, there's always gonna be those who call friends/fam to come get items! It's always exciting finding an item no one knows its true value though. From Chas SC & found a sweetgrass basket in Ohio for $5.99. It was selling online for over $350! I almost passed out when I saw it! Did my "happy dance" to myself, bought it & smiled All the way to my car! lol I just love it!

Hi, Tonya! That tea pot with the roses was beautiful but, I have one question, it says on the bottom of it "Oven safe" I'm almost 70 years old I've never heard of putting a tea pot in the oven... (and I drink a lot of tea)... for any reason, can someone give me a reason? I just don't get it. Thanks for letting me accompany you, it was fun. 😊
Mine too, they just throw a lot of dirty junk out a lot of time especially for senior day. I have one thrift store that I am convinced that people who work/volunteer at it hide stuff for their friends and family. I can be one of the first and make a quick scan of the store and folks will already have baskets of the best stuff piled up high in the shopping carts. It gets frustrating.

At first I thought all DI stores must have the same setup, and then I realized you live in the same area as me. Haha! I haven’t been there in a while. Might be time for a trip. Have you been to the Snowline thrift stores up 50? A bit pricier than goodwill and DI, but lots of fun treasures.
Just ran across your video. Were you at the DI on Franklin?? If so, boy have they changed since the 80's! Moved there when I was a teen and used to frequent that store a lot. The GW on Florin used to have some great furniture buys if you got there early. I picked up a pair of rose pattern Queen Anne chairs in excellent condition for $35/pr in 2013. Love furniture with good bones. Thanks for the trip. I really miss the thrifts in Sac. Happy hunting in the New Year!
My 1st time watching you, aside from the fact I have never seen a GOODWILL use a marker for putting the price on ??? You live where there is a DI, since the conversation ends there !!! They are the BEST....good prices, great stuff. Let me clarify I DO NOT live where there is a DI, and we only have 2 GOODWILLS here 🙄
Wow what fabulous stores amazing to think some of the items were treasured possessions for people, and go on to new life's, Thank you for taking us around the store, im from the UK our shops are much smalller, and probably more expensive, so i really enjoyed a good browse, thank you.
Desert Rose is the pattern I'm collecting for my daughter & I see some pieces I don't have yet! Most stores I go to have two different times they put items out & I usually catch the later.
Just came across your channel and enjoyed it so I’m a new subscriber. Wish I could find the k8bd of things you did for good prices. The thrift stores in my town really way over price
Ohhh that jacket @ 31:00 & then the coat!! WOW!! The coat was gorgeous, however even tho it still had the tags I feel like it was overpriced for a thrift store, but it would be one of those items I would regret not buying. 🤷🏼♀️😉 @ 32:47 the pottery piece great price, I really liked that. @ 45:07 that Mikasa 12pc set gorgeous, & then the holy berries pattern was nicely priced also. That gorgeous crystal vase, 33:06 (it sure looked like crystal in the lighting) didn't have a marking (is that why you didn't get it, or did you?) Also I was wondering, if you can tell something is old, & it doesn't have a stamp/signature, do you normally not buy it? There was a pitcher 44:44 on that aisle that I Absolutely loved. (Some time stamps I edited).. I loved soooo many pieces, thanks for making the watching superb 👌
OMG!! This store is one for the books.Shoppers empty the shelves in minutes! That shows that they really have a good and better items with affordable price than other thrift stores. Thanks for showing this to us. Have you noticed when there is a long line at a thrift store and the doors open, does there seem to be an area of the store that most people head for? I mean, I imagine people probably go to all areas, but does there seem to be a place in the store that the early birds head for more then others?
Love the crystal I have some of everything your showing maybe time to let it go I wish I new how much it cost first so I get what it’s worth THANK YOU keep Thrifty so much fun to watch I wish I was next to you thanks a lot Patty

Welcome to the family Darla!!! Sorry to hear about the overpricing at your thrift store. The prices in our area have fluctuated so wildly over the past couple years. I'm so glad you're here 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I just stumbled on to Your Channel…and, Yes, I subscribed…☺️. Your stores are Amazing! What state are You located? I’m in the Midwest. Our stores are a bit bleak. I’m not familiar with the store name of the second store you shopped. But we do have Goodwill.

I can’t believe how many great lamps were there. The ones where I live are always the same 80’s/90’s girl bedroom ones which I didn’t like then and still don’t.
That is a lovely big amber flower bowl. I paid $1.00 Canadian at a Flea market for it. Franciscan Desert Rose, my mother starting collecting it in South Dakota around 1957 to 1973. Set for 16 plus dozens of side pieces, When she died, 6 children plus in-laws, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. NO ONE wanted it, she had sets upon sets of porcelain, Bavarian, German, Austrian, Wedgewood and MORE, enough sets to seat 150 or more dozens of cousins that she had. Very, very old Royal Albert sets, another set similar to flow blue 1780's and edged in gold and looked like it had never really been used. Coalport, Laliques, Majolica, Moore Croft, very old cut glass, a three piece fitted together set of cut glass vases over 5 feet tall ($12,000.00) was what her husband paid for it. Royal Dalton's by the case ($180,000.00 dollars worth). Most the first editions of what had been released. Because of her will it could NOT be sold and the proceeds divided between all the siblings. You had to put your name on it and if you were the only sib wanting it , it was yours. We viewed all of it as cursed as our father worked himself to an early death to pay for it. She was STILL collecting at 90 and had this house full at 95. I took the one Dalton I had bought her and the art glass paper weights I had bought Dad. Some we gave to 2 local museums. The rest was donated to a local children's charity and funded them for 4 years. What they did not take was picked up by "Got Junk" who makes sure it is used or donated to a charity. She also had one Louis 15th table (real, which I took because dad liked it) none of her furniture was newer then 1900. The light fixtures in her 1913 house were original so of course the furniture had to match. he grandchildren remember her as a mean, snappy old woman who was NEVER wrong. The locals thought she was a saint who donated freely to charity. Myself, only one sibling plus in-law and three grandchildren helped to empty her house . Took 3 years as her will was nasty. To us she was a hoarder but of very high end junk. When she reached end of life I had just had surgery, I sat with her for the 4 days she took to die. Only one sibling, who had very serious health issues with family came to let me grab a shower. All these years later, her ashes have yet to be buried (I also have Dad's from 1988) as she pre-set up a place for burial but all of us sibling's have to be there. Will likely be still sitting un my closet when I die. Moral, a collector of many things is only a hoarder with deep pockets. Hoarders of this narcistic nature often lose that which is most valuable , family.
They are packed, Average Americans love thrift shopping statewide more than anything, you can find a bargain at the thrift store, 10-20 years old movie in great shape, collectible Disney dolls, and great church items.
We have two Goodwill's in my town. The Goodwill superstore is in a more affluent area and I visit probably twice a week and find awesome items. Found a beautiful cream Michael Kors sweater
I was seriously shocked. There has NEVER been a line at any thrift store near me. You can go any time of the day and maybe there will be 4 or 5 people at most in any one of them. I have the whole Desert Rose set that my parents got as an anniversary gift from my maternal grandparents. I don't use it because I think it's so beautiful. I have it on my grandmother's antique hutch.
@@sharonproctor4079 since it was an anniversary gift to my parents from my grandmother and none of them are with me anymore, I choose to keep it in perfect condition and look at it rather than risk it getting broken. I have many other complete sets that I can use on a daily basis. Someday when my daughter inherits it, she can use it if she wants. And it doesn't collect dust since I dust everything in the hutch every 2-3 days. Had I just bought it piece by piece as you did, I would use it too. But this has too much sentimental value.

I was at the DI on Friday and I saw that Santa. Did not match my decor or I would of bought it, it was beautiful. I did walk away with plenty more.
I'm so happy you left with a great haul! DI is almost always a guaranteed win for me 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful items. I love all those dishes. The glasses with gold owls and other gold detailed glasses are gorgeous! Thanks for taking us with you!
I was drooling over the owl glasses! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
At first I thought all DI stores must have the same setup, and then I realized you live in the same area as me. Haha! I haven’t been there in a while. Might be time for a trip. Have you been to the Snowline thrift stores up 50? A bit pricier than goodwill and DI, but lots of fun treasures.
I have not, but I will now!!! Thanks for the heads up! Hope we bump into each other soon 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I was at the DI on Auburn Blvd. Queen Anne chairs at GW? WOW, what a find Stace!!! Thank you & happy hunting to you too! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hi! I’ve just found you! Subscribed! 😁👍🇬🇧
Thank you for the shop tours and advise . ☺️💐
Really I have never heard of a Goodwill that opens at 6:30am, that’s nice
I bought a 70 piece Pfaltzgraff dishware today called Jamberry. No chips! It was going for $10.48. I had a $10.00 off coupon! So sweet and lovely!
Its rare for me to go to the goodwill but when i do i always find something i like👍😄
My 1st time watching you, aside from the fact I have never seen a GOODWILL use a marker for putting the price on ??? You live where there is a DI, since the conversation ends there !!! They are the BEST....good prices, great stuff. Let me clarify I DO NOT live where there is a DI, and we only have 2 GOODWILLS here 🙄
😂 yes, all the GW stores in my area use erasable markers, which ends up all over my hands 😂 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I just love Desert Rose- I have mine from Nona.
Wow what fabulous stores amazing to think some of the items were treasured possessions for people, and go on to new life's,
Thank you for taking us around the store, im from the UK our shops are much smalller, and probably more expensive, so i really enjoyed a good browse, thank you.
Desert Rose is the pattern I'm collecting for my daughter & I see some pieces I don't have yet! Most stores I go to have two different times they put items out & I usually catch the later.
Was that actually in the video? I didn't watch the whole thing, got tired of waiting.
That is awesome! It's so important to know your thrift stores! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
@@addicted367 If u don't mind me answering, the Desert Rose dishes come in around the 11:40ish mark on the video. They're beautiful! Hope this helps
@@superannieoakley4513 thank you 😊
Hooorray! What a ride. I loved it and watched till the very end. So amusing 🔥🙌
😂 I try to keep it light and fun! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I really like the blue daisies plates wish I could have those they're my favorite
That Goodwill was a reseller’s paradise!
Just came across your channel and enjoyed it so I’m a new subscriber. Wish I could find the k8bd of things you did for good prices. The thrift stores in my town really way over price
Loved the Disney dishes. I've got too much of everything and I'm at the age I need to get rid of things.
Interesting items.💕🍀
The daisy plates beautiful blue and white love those
The piano and two chairs are the only items I like nothing else so far-:))
Where in th heck do you live that this is such a goldmine?❤ I'm in NEW YORK and it is empty. WOW! I NEED TO MOVE.
I'm in Sacramento, California. We get pretty lucky with our thrift stores here 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I have some of these cut glass / crystal platers that I did receive from grandma. I’m on Citrus Heights Marketplace selling the Franciscan plates.
Ohhh that jacket @ 31:00 & then the coat!! WOW!! The coat was gorgeous, however even tho it still had the tags I feel like it was overpriced for a thrift store, but it would be one of those items I would regret not buying. 🤷🏼♀️😉
@ 32:47 the pottery piece great price, I really liked that.
I thought the coat price was ridiculous for a thrift store. Very uncharacteristic for this place though 🥰❤️❤️❤️
OMG!! This store is one for the books.Shoppers empty the shelves in minutes! That shows that they really have a good and better items with affordable price than other thrift stores. Thanks for showing this to us. Really enjoyed watching it,or should I say would much enjoyed shopping with you at the Deseret thrift store...maybe someday.ADVANCE MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU.🎄🎁☃️❄💐🎉🎆
Aaaaawwww, thank you so much Helen!!! I hope this holiday season is your BEST EVER!!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Helen I just watched this video because I just found the channel. And all I was thinking was dang it I wish I was shopping with her lol hahahahaha so impressed with the prices of the furniture especially. I love the Disney dishes for some reason. I thought they were adorable.
@@tracygreen1920 I really just wished I was with Ms. Tanya( Lazy DIY) shopping in this store. 🤣😅.Glad that you've enjoyed watching this episode of Lazy DIY.More to come.Have a great day!!
Thank you. Tanya. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you too Liz! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Have you noticed when there is a long line at a thrift store and the doors open, does there seem to be an area of the store that most people head for? I mean, I imagine people probably go to all areas, but does there seem to be a place in the store that the early birds head for more then others?
Sheves out back, metals, glasses & china, & the glass cases seem to be the 1st places to get wiped out 🥰❤️❤️❤️
your videos are always very interesting. wish you a Merry Christmas
Thank you Ricardo! Merry Christmas to you too! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I wonder with people moving out of CA to relocate, that the thrift stores are getting so many items the folks do not want to take with them.
Maybe. I'll take it for any reason 😂 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Love the crystal I have some of everything your showing maybe time to let it go I wish I new how much it cost first so I get what it’s worth THANK YOU keep Thrifty so much fun to watch I wish I was next to you thanks a lot Patty
OMG! The Desert Rose dish set just about killed me. I wouldve bought those in a a heartbeat! My sister has our Mothers original complete set, I have some duplicates Ive purchased. Im building my set up. In fact, used them at Christmas dinner 2 days ago ❤️ Love them. Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Oh yes, they are beloved by many. Someone bought every last piece. Sending you luck to complete your set! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
@@LazyDIY-THRIFT Thank you!❤️
My granddaughter inherited 300 pieces of Made in USA Desert Rose. Some of the pieces are very unique. She would like to sell, but has no clue how to do it.
@@kathesumrill9083 Kathe, start with your local Marketplace to sell.:)
I have the rose Fransiscan set but need the tea pot!!Yikes!
We only have 1 in our town. It’s getting so full, they seem to think they can get retail prices 🙁. Love your channel, new subscriber.
Welcome to the family Darla!!! Sorry to hear about the overpricing at your thrift store. The prices in our area have fluctuated so wildly over the past couple years. I'm so glad you're here 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Gold, brass, silver, clean easily with tomato ketchup. Just slather on cover with paper towels, let sit for 2 hours n wipe clean.
I just stumbled on to Your Channel…and, Yes, I subscribed…☺️. Your stores are Amazing! What state are You located? I’m in the Midwest. Our stores are a bit bleak. I’m not familiar with the store name of the second store you shopped. But we do have Goodwill.
Welcome to the family Jeanne!!! I'm in Sacramento, California & I shop surrounding areas as well. I'm sorry to hear your thrift stores aren't exciting 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I found a 14 kt necklace with carved jade and rubies at my thrift store for $2… that’s what keeps me going
Oh wow! That would keep me motivated too! Congratulations Brenda!!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I can’t believe how many great lamps were there. The ones where I live are always the same 80’s/90’s girl bedroom ones which I didn’t like then and still don’t.
Yahoo I love it 😻 and donate to on the same time guys very happy and beautiful
Awesome!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Love the Wooden bowl ..
Excelente video !
Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina.
¡Gracias! Mucho amor de américa 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I would love to have a Goodwill like this to go to.
I love 🧡💚 Your sofa Is Amazing.
I see things that I like already.
Yay!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Love that flowery tea pot.
Me too!! Very pretty 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Goodwill Superstore? We don't have one of those, & I'm super curious now. I'm absolutely green over your creme MK sweater!!!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Wish you were closer. I would but that stunning outside furniture. It looked like concrete
The furniture is my favorite too! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
The jewelry is amazing.
Yay! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. It's such a rare treat 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Very nice❤️❤️❤️Thanks always 🥰
My pleasure!!!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Always love your videos!
Thanks so much Dorice! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
The furniture is amazing.
That is my favorite thrift store for furniture 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I was seriously shocked. There has NEVER been a line at any thrift store near me. You can go any time of the day and maybe there will be 4 or 5 people at most in any one of them. I have the whole Desert Rose set that my parents got as an anniversary gift from my maternal grandparents. I don't use it because I think it's so beautiful. I have it on my grandmother's antique hutch.
Wow! Lucky you!! So wonderful!!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I have the Desert Rose set and I use it everyday! Why not use it rather than have it collect dust in a cabinet. Enjoy it!
I got my Desert Rose set piece by piece at very reasonable prices in various places.
Are there siñors discounts in your area?
In my area we have siñors discounts on tuesdays. Goodwill stores for me are my Macys.
Yes we do! I need to find a senior thrifting buddy!! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
