  • The Triumph Experience Motorcycle Exhibition | Triumph Factory Visitor Experience Hinckley Tour
In this episode we take a trip to the Triumph Experience, in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
We have been to the Triumph Experience a couple of times, and we have done the factory tour in the past, which was fantastic.
This is some video we took when we were on our way to the Kickback show in Gloucester Prison. It is in the same order that we walked through the display, so it is a fair representation of what a trip to the Triumph Experience is like.
The Triumph Experience is a free exhibition on the Triumph site in Hinckley, Leicestershire. It is on a modern trading estate, and the parking which is free is laid out and landscaped in quite an upmarket way. If you have experience of other trading estates you will be surprised at how POSH it all is :)
The exhibition is over 2 floors and there is a great cafe and a shop. The exhibition is free, but you can pay and go on a factory tour as well. The exhibition itself is very high quality with plenty of bikes, Triumphs, and other Triumph related memorabilia along with multimedia displays.
There are some very informative displays about how the bikes are designed and built, and a lot of information about the components that go into making a bike.
If you have ever owned a Triumph it is likely that they will have an example of it on display.
There are a lot of bikes from the sports side of Triumph, especially from the 40s through to the early 70s. Some of which we had never seen before, which was very interesting.
It is a good way to spend a few hours, and there is a lot to see. During our trip this time we were virtually the only people there, but we have seen it much busier in the past. I imagine it gets quite busy during the weekends in the summer.
If I had one complaint, it would be that the background music and multimedia sound is a bit loud. They are very good and in keeping with the displays and this is really only an issue when you realise that they do loop quite quickly so if you are there for a few hours like we were you do start to get a little worn down by them. This wouldn’t put us off going again, but I felt worth mentioning.
Part of the display is changed over time, and we have noticed differences during our different visits. I think that they try to keep it fresh for people to visit multiple times.
We really enjoyed the visit and would strongly recommend that if you are interested in bikes, especially Triumphs you should give it a visit. The do seem to have all of the new models so if you are thinking of buying one it could be a good place to go to look at one.

I was lucky enough to have had a tour of the production factory back in 1996 whilst on the waiting list for the Daytona T595, a day that will stay in my memory forever 🇬🇧 .

That must have been great. I bet it wasn't dark satanic mills. I had a Daytona 955 which I really enjoyed, and I do keep eyeing bargain T595s on market place.

I went on a factory tour around 2006. They gave us headphones so we could hear what was being said.
    It was awesome. Amazing experience!

Ah thats cool, no headphones this time, but the tour guide was a fountain of knowledge and it was extremely interesting to hear about how everything worked in the factory as we went around.

Would be keen to have Royal Enfield create a centre like this near their Northampton development centre.

It would be good, but I can't see it being likely. I think because Triumph is definitely British they feel they need a bigger presence.

U.S. here. Yorkshire Wife and I took a holiday to her hometown back in 2015 and visited the National Motorcycle Museum. Would love to check this out if we make it back again.

Ahh we do like the National Motorcycle Museum too, been too long since we visited. This Triumph Experience place is great, we weren't allowed to film the factory tour unfortunately but its well worth checking out, fascinating. It's in Hinkley which isn't too far from Birmingham. 👍
