Despite your review and after looking at 3 other reviews, I decided to take a chance and buy one. You must have got a dud or have some settings wrong because I think it's great and does what I need. It's a shame it didn't do what you needed. Thanks for the review, but I'm happy :)
Just letting you know your review actually helped me save money ;) I used JBL Charge 3 as my 'under monitor' speaker (and my on-the-go BT speaker), but recently the battery has gave up on me, I'm looking for something similar (form factor wise) to replace it.. but it seems the trend is to cast out the 3.5mm aux-in.. a bit of google search lead me to this.. I'm grateful to have your honest review :D
Really happy to hear that! All I can do is say what I think though, I am sure this speaker is fine for some but I didn't find many (any...) Qualities to it :D
The problem with small speakers in general is that their makers think they can fool physics, and get a nice low end from tiny speakers with all kinds of DSP, cabinet and driver trickery. They can't and this Creative soundbar is an excellent demo of it. The JBL wasn't even trying to have a decent low end and the Wharfedale and Ikea speakers were big enough to have decent bass.
I may be a bit overqualified for something like this, but there's just great alternatives for virtually no money so yeah, I couldn't be positive. Happy you liked the video!
I was just about to order this and then I saw your video.. Thanks for doing this you are right, it does sound hollow. I thought the form factor would be peffect as a under monitor PC speaker but it sounds so disaapointing, why do no other reviewers mention the poor sound quality?
@@rollingtroll Do you have an opinion on the Creative T40 and T60s? I read the T40s have an issue with a power saving feature that shuts them down after 10 mins and they are slow to wake up. I'd buy the EDIFIER R1855DB if they weren't so big. It really is proving to be a challenge to get the perfect PC speaker.

I am looking for a soundbar that can just start straightaway but not have terrible sound quality at the same time.
My mine bit the dust after only 11 months with not charging anymore. 😫Like my previous wireless speaker. Sound quality was good, the announcing sound was way too loud. Good thing it was inexpensive. There are better speakers out there.
