First of all, I would like to apologize for the choppy editing of this video. While I was editing the video, my laptop decided to give up on me and literally made it impossible for me to edit the video any further. Macbook Air is a definite go to and a big plus is that you can edit on FCP X which combines being easy to use and also allows you to do more intensive editing. Right Now you'll also get a free pair of Airpods with the student discount which is a nice to have. (Id recommend the i5 model) Windows: Go for a laptop with the Ryzen 7 4th gen. It offers the best value and is infact better than intel i5's. Id recommend the Acer Swift 3

One more question: In the USA, where I'm from, most uni students are required to live on campus for their first year or two. Is this true about U of T also, or do freshmen get to live off campus too? Thanks!
Hey, I asked a question about financing international study at U of T a little earlier. I don't know if you know this, but you probably have a better idea than I do, and I couldn't find any statistics online, so do you know approximately how many international students are in each grade level? Trying to gauge probability for the Lester B Pearson award. Thanks!
Of course I remember you and great question again. Unfortunately I do not have the exact statistics but I heard about 30% of students at UofT are international students. I hope this was able to help a little and if you have any further questions please let me know!
When I was looking at the application dates for UofT, the deadline for the program I`m interested in was January 15th. It did not say anything about early admission but is this date the "normal" application deadline? Also, if January 15th is the normal application deadline, will my grade 11 grades be looked at or only the completed grade 12 grades? Sorry for the confusing questions.. Love your videos!
Great question and thank you for your kind words. I am very glad you asked me this question because this is exactly what I wondered back in grade 12 as well. So the deadline you see should be the normal deadline. I know that you wouldn't have your full grade 12 marks, so what you have to do is submit an estimate of your grades. As long as your actual grades and your estimate grades aren't drastically different you should be fine. I hope I was able to help a little and if you have any further questions please let me know. i'm doing my 10th grade now in india,because of the pandemic our board exams got cancelled and 99% of the students ended up scoring below 80%(mostly everyone put their efforts at the last exam). Government announced that they will allot marks by half yearly and quarterly marks.my dream is to get into u of t but i ended up scoring low marks and the main thing is that i'm a rank holder but ....... i didn't perform well in my half yearly and quarterly. (i'm two years ahead in math and physics comparing to my peers).i don't think that i would enter U of T. do i have any chances of making it there?

After watching this video you will realize that marks aren't the only thing that these universities look for. So don't worry too much about your current grades (Also it was because of the pandemic as well so don't stress too much about it). Most importantly you are in Grade 10 and that means you still got lots of time to improve your grades/extracurricular activities (you are also two years ahead of your peers so you are doing awesome). It's not mandatory to live on campus at all, so anyone can live off campus if they wanted to👍👍!
