About This Piece ("Countryside of Rubble and Ash"):
I recently had the privilege of participating in a Video Game Composition Online Workshop hosted by Music Creators Academy (also known as MCA, I'll link their website below) and as part of the program, my classmates and I were tasked with creating two video game tracks. There were several options in terms of what genre of game we wanted to make music for (fantasy, steampunk etc.) and what type of tracks we wanted to produce (Main Theme, Exploration Theme, and Combat Theme), and I ultimately chose to create a Main Theme and an Exploration Theme for a Fantasy game!
After reflecting on what I wanted to accomplish with my Exploration Theme, I decided to create an exploration track with a darker feel! Imagine this scenario; you're playing as the main protagonist of a fantasy game and early on in your adventure, you encounter a beautiful, tranquil village along the countryside. You spend some time exploring the village and come to find that its inhabitants are peaceful and welcoming, and this location soon becomes a frequent place of rest and recovery for you and your companions as the game progresses.
Late in the game, after having spent countless hours fighting "the bad guys" and exploring the game world, you decide that you and your party are in need of a respite and decide to head back to the tranquil village you've grown accustomed to. Upon traveling back to the countryside however, you and your companions stumble across a roaming band of "bad guys" and after a brief skirmish, you realize that the "bad guys" have discovered the peaceful village.
Fearing the worst, you rush towards the village as quickly as possible in hopes of intercepting the "bad guys" and saving the villagers. Despite your best efforts, you arrive too late and find the once beautiful village completely destroyed and enveloped in a fiery inferno; all the villagers you once considered your friends are either burnt to a crisp or missing entirely. As you and your companions experience this sequence of events and explore the ruins of the countryside, this music plays in the background.
Some Fun Facts About This Piece ("Countryside of Rubble and Ash"):
    - The main motif of this piece (the opening melody in the French Horn) is the same motif I used as the foundation for my Main Theme (which I shall upload at a later time), so this melody is my leitmotif!
    - I composed about 90 to 95% of the piece between 1:30 AM and 6:00 AM on the same day this Composition was due (meanwhile I spent almost 2 weeks working on my Main Theme)
    - This Composition, alongside my Main Theme for this MCA Workshop, was my first completed work featuring a full String Orchestra, I'm really excited about this!
    - I spent over 2 hours mixing and mastering this piece in BandLab and arguably made the sound quality on this piece worse than it was initially... mixing is hard!
Thank you for taking the time to listen to my music, I hope that you enjoyed or connected with the piece in some capacity and that this experience was worthwhile for you! Please let me know what you think of this Composition in the comments below, I'm always looking for feedback and constructive criticism!

Apologies everyone, I don't know why the audio is so quiet, the Video file itself has nice volume but as soon as I upload to RUclips, it becomes so quiet, and I don't know how to resolve the issue right now 😥. I recommend listening on high volume for a better listening experience!
