Important to mention… When the piston is in the rest position, the brake fluid will be balanced via The compensation hole. This compensation hole is very small, clean this compensation hole with a very thin wire of copper, if it would clog… you are guaranteed a dragging caliper, this has already happened to me twice!!! with the Honda CBX 1000. Stay Safe.
ok so if you brake and there is a leak, it's made so you will still be able ton brake.. But.. Is it possible to have an oil leak in your brake lines without losing pedal pressure?
Very interesting video , i have a ram 3500 2022 , and every 2000 miles im loosing one or both rotors for the rear , the way this video shows its split front from rear so my guess is that the master brake cilynder has an internal leak and it's loosing vacum, and the rear rottors are dragging and overheating then vibration starts. Corect me if im wrong , Thx
How does the brake fluid gets pumped around. Is there a pump for the brakes? The reason why I'm asking is because when the engine is turned off the brakes become harder to stop.
I suggest getting rid of the music, I find it rather distracting. Plus, a little more effort on the thumbnail could be made. Good video, awesome animations.
What is the function of the breather port? What is the purpose of BRAKE CIRCUIT between two chambers? In auto industry using term ”cut off hole” Which one is cut off a hole here? I don't know my questions are dumb or what? Please reply with your explanation ASAP
Yes, it does but in minimal content. In a diagonal circuits (Most of EU countries require it), You can see very slight uneveness of front L and R brake pad wear because of it. Plus when you suddenly hit the brake pedal as high speed, car sometimes momentarily wobbles sidewards (Yaw)- it just one diagonal breaks first ahead of other one. This is called a brake breasure lead. In the F and R split system, it is not noticeable (interestingly but then, the lead circuit is REAR not FRONT), because the hydraulic pressure wave has further to travel to the rear axle).
I don't quite get some things. - Is the smaller diameter shaft going thru the shaft of the 2nd (left) circuit only act as a guide and doesn't have any role on moving the 2nd circuit's rubber piston cup? -What's the stud for? And what is the valve head(?) connected to?
Perhaps I missed it but how does the master cylinder leverage the power of running engine and system of pullies and pumps? I'm asking as it relates to EV conversions. Is there such a thing as Electric brakes vs something driven by pullies and pumps?
Most vehicles utilize the manifold vacuum produced by the engine to give power assist to the brakes. The brake booster is the device that turns vacuum into brake pedal assist.
Trọng Tín Nguyễn just look at the brake line and follow it to which ever wheel it goes to. Idk why you would need two know which one goes where though.
Your explanation of the portless master cylinder was pathetic and not worthy of the rest of your video, which was excellent. You may as well have just left that part out.
Am I the only one who didn't understand a fucking thing about this? Also, the music is a bit much for what is supposed to be a explanation of a mechanical system....... we're not at some come to Jesus intervention Kumbaya moment

💯
Excellent animation.
Thanks alot :) / Please share :)
excellent animation, clear description and narration very helpful
amazing video, you explained in 3 mins what my teacher couldn’t explain in 3 days
Good presentation, Thomas. Could you add how the reservoir introduces fluid into the piston system? Thanks.
Good explanation👏
Thank you. Would be interesting to see an animation of what's happening during internal leakage of the master cylinder.
This is an amazing channel. Thank you so much for your efforts with these videos.
Best video animation ever, you always have the best.
One of the best explanations I have come across. Thank you for sharing. :-)
Would love to see more hydraulic cylinder videos. Great job!
great video will help with my studies for auto brake test
a very good animation video with neat explanation!!!thank you.
Excellent
thanks
Thank you.
Excellent !!!
subscribed these videos are very well put together.
Thank u . . .
100% Grate animations and 50% explanation too much difficult mechanical terms
What happens during hard breaking with ABS
You last comment on the abs system confused me a bit?
Does abs cars not run a split system like front / rear?

amazing and useful work...what's the program have you used to do this animation video??
Hi, thanks. I use Carrara 8 Pro.

Yes, there is a pump :)

Good video, awesome animations.
Does the Nissan 240sx 13,14 use a front/rear split or a split diagonally tandem master cylinder?
Great video. Every other explanation was way simplified or just BS. Thanks.
Excellent. Please share :)
Super brother 👌, make ABS master cylinder working
Sir, can you please upload a video of clutch master and how it works and its important function. Thank you
Right, Hans. I need that too, although they should be similar, probably with one piston only.
man u re awesome
please would u tell me with what software u can build those stunning videos
Houdini
@@ThomasSchwenke-knowledge thank u so much
U re great !

in using this configuration, does one set of brakes got the pressure first? if so, is it the front?

I guess thumbnail quality could be improved.
May i know what software might be used to create such awesome illustrations ??

Did the word "cylinder" start sounding strange by the end of this video for anyone else?
Take a shot everytime he says master cylinder.
And then bleed your brakes
Sir ur all videos are brilliant but your thumbnails are not good so plz do some work on your thumnail to make them more attractive
I’m just left with questions. I’m still not entirely sure how my car breaks.
GREAT in korea

great animation but let me ask how do I know which pipe is for the front brake and which pipe is for the rear brake? How to distinguish?
Trọng Tín Nguyễn just look at the brake line and follow it to which ever wheel it goes to. Idk why you would need two know which one goes where though.
2 bracketing ads is an automatic thumbs down. You didn't even explain the theory of operation concerning compensation ports... way to bury the lead.
Take a shot every time he says, "brake" master" or "cylinder"
I've died from alchohol poisoning

Useless
Not good explanation
Horrible.
Why is that?

Great art needs great music :)
no sound
Why not?
