Backpacking Daisetsuzan's Kurodake: 3-Day Autumn Hiking Adventure(9/2024)

We embarked on a 3-day, 2-night backpacking adventure in Daisetsuzan, using Kurodake as our base camp. We hiked to Hokuchin Dake and Pippu Dake, witnessing rare phenomena like the Sun Pillar, a stunning sunrise, the Brocken specter, a double rainbow, and the breathtaking night sky. We were also treated to the vibrant autumn colors and sightings of wildlife, the Ezo chipmunk.
