Oh no, but you didn't comment on one of the best things about this OP. At 10:04 when the title shows up on screen, on the left, you can see that the writing of the kanji is very sharp. But as you read more towards the right side, the writing becomes more blunt and cutesy. It's like going from Times New Roman to Comic Sans. It's symbolizing Satoru going from his adult self to his child self.
Wow. I never noticed that. Well spotted!
Your a god
i bet you win every spot the difference XD
I had noticed that those two "i" hiragana characters were different from each other, but I never figured out the meaning behind it. Good find!
damn baby girl good find I can only understand 3 characters so I couldn't spot the difference
Him: "The red of the car represents violence and the blue of the other car represents Satoru's powers."
Creators: The cars were fcking red and blue
Honestly
legit
Game theory in a nutshell
Ela teachers be like
He would make a great english teacher
6:47 AT ANY POINT did anyone suspect Kenya because of how his eyes were blurred up in the shot ? I had this nagging feeling that Kenya's mind was always somewhere else. His superior intelligence compared to the other kids worried me a lot too HAHHA oh well
+charissahoo I did, I thought Kenya and the teacher were in it together lol
+charissahoo In the series his eyes also flashed red when talking satoru, as well as the last scene of him talking to yashiro, therefore one can assume the anime was trying to make him seem somewhat suspicious.
+charissahoo I DID suspect Kenya for the same reasons. And i also thought that he was the killers partner. But then all my suspicion went away when we see him all grown up after....i can't spell his name, the main character wakes up from the coma.
Your not alone
I thought he was gonna die or at least targeted though ngl he seemed sus also when I saw Yashiro with the mom I though it was cause they were involved with child services boy I was wrong
When I watched the ep 11 intro I immediately noticed Saturo was gone and I was so creeped out it was like watching a horror movie.
I love the work they did to direct your attention in the scenes.
+Crick1952 "When I watched the ep 11 intro I immediately noticed Saturo was gone"
Only for the viewer to realize that Satoru appeared in that very same episode, therefore making the change completely out of place.
+amon nunes FarofaPoop Some people might say that And I cant blame but Its not out of place. it was a hidden concept of the plot that satoru's timeline now changed Because of a jump leap for being in a comatose state. So now the future/life he once had has been erased and the future of his friends are now moving forward without him which is why he was not there. Kinda Feels like HE was the one who was erased(not kayo) from the reality/original timeline he once knew, You see what I did there, No? okay :(.
It was just rushed because the anime rushed some parts and changed some parts from the manga because they didnt want a s2 . If the show was more than 12 I can see that opening be used several episode before going back to its original op People would easily Understand its deeper meaning and about the story about kayo and Airi's Role. Ep 10 and forward really felt rushed to me when I read the manga with its differences.
denzel padilla I see what you mean by that, but really it's just my opinion on how Episode 11 turned out. Honestly, when I watched the OP I was thinking about Satoru's fate, if he died or if he just went comatose and when he appeared in that episode he was... in a coma. For 15 years. BECAUSE HE DIDN'T JAM THE SEATBELT.
I understand :D
me too. a few hours ago
Honestly that different OP in episode 11 fucked me up.
it fucked us all up tbh
ikr when i saw that op I was like wait a minute something is wrong replayed it and saw that he has disappeared i was like da fuq he got erased
When I saw it I litteraly screamed and my parents were like "hey ... are you okay ..?"
cookie i thought he died..
cookie lmao I thought he was dead
Yet another what's in an Op that blew my mind. Especially when Yashiro was reflected in the shards of glass
yea I can't believe I didn't see that.
+Beelzebub I noticed it in the second episode and I was totally freaking out! i didnt know who it was!
yea it was a nice touch
the failsaves of the eye catching blew my mind.
Those screens are really huge, and filling them with important enough information that all of it leads to one conclusion while transitioning screens is incredible.
I'm going to put in a request for the OP to Steins;Gate. There is a ton packed into there and I would love to see somebody unravel it all.
+ZerogunRivale +1!
+ZerogunRivale please make it happen
+ZerogunRivale Oh my god this is AMAZING
Please do this!
+ZerogunRivale OR STEINS;GATE REVIEW OR SCENE ANALYSIS
ANYTHING WITH STEINS;GATE
Yes!!!!!!
I don't care what anyone says Kenya was best character
+Mlpmrenterfan ( knight of heart ) You'll be happy to know he has his own spin off manga!
+z55177 what's it called?!
***** Really?!
+Mlpmrenterfan ( knight of heart ) That's not how you spell Kayo
Carlos Bonilla That is not how you spell Kenya
I just wanna point out that early on I thought of the flood scene as being representative of the snow melting, because if Satoru has failed to save Kayo by the time the snow melts her body will be found and he'll be launched back into the future. Totally see the drowning now though, way more obvious.
you are a genius
plus you can see shards of what seems to be metal or should I say
car parts
Your analysis' are godlike
viva Israel 😃
I just think you missed on only one interesting part of the OP. And that is the scene where the blood spills over Kayo, Airi and Based Mom.
With Kayo, the blood, despite covering only partially the top right of the screen, has already overlapped her face, alluding to her death being in the past. On Airi, it is coming closer to her, but it only manages to barely touch her arm and leg, as she survives the attempt on her life with injuries on these same places. And for the Mom, the blood is almost completely covering her face, but it is still flowing, as her death is recent and not all the way through before Satoru finds her.
Cider Bizet you got a good eye, never noticed that until i put the pieces of the show together.
Yeah also you had watch this in like a week I watched a month ago and no one had watched it back then
I just finished Erased half an hour ago. Loved the whole show and I loved how it ended. Didn't feel copped out, wasted, empty, or open ended.
This has easily become one of my top 10 anime, just by its ability to tell a good story with great visuals, no pseudo-intellectual bullshit conversations(looking at you, Bakemonogatari & friends). This anime is definitely a worthwhile watch.
Yes yes yes .... I feel exactly the same ! The ending was so good and satisfying like , no loose ends or unnecessary melodrama or deaths. I saw many people commenting that they were pissed when Hiroumi got married to Kayo. That was definitely out of the blue but .... She's happy and not abused anymore and that's what matters 🤗
@@rakhi3018 they should’ve at least shown her being happy they didn’t do shit with Hiromi and Kayo and that’s what pissed me the most
@@Deathmare235 didn't have time (also what they did show was much more important its called story.)
@@elismart13 they didn’t show the full story and it even happened in the manga it should’ve never just happened it’s not my fault for getting attached to said story
@@Deathmare235 what well sorry but just think logically they had to decide I thought the ending was great and realistic. That's a +
WHO ELSE WANTS TO SEE THE ED OF ERASED?
+Jorge Rivas YESSSSSSS
+Jorge Rivas whats an ed
+Ivan Entrialgo Ending. Meant a video like this for the ending of Erased.
This is the first video dissecting an opening like this and was pretty good.
+Ivan Entrialgo an ed is a ending.
yes please!
I love your sales pitch.
"By the way, I have a Patreon. give me money."
Such persuasive. Very charisma. Wow.
+Edgewen and the amount in the box: "$Like a million"
I've gotten like seven new pledges today so apparently it worked.
Honestly? If it weren't for the fact that I'm broke atm, you'd have eight. :D I love your work, though I'd love to see more throwback work.
+Mother's Basement You'd get more if you were actually passionate and was serious, like if it ment a lot to ya. But thats just me, I know you have a style and you'll stick to it.
Such wow
I like how we are literally shown the killers face in the OP, but like 95% of us didnt realise who it was until the end of the show.
Also that OP continuity is pretty clever, didnt realise how it drags my attention around until you pointed it out.
honestly, if you couldn't work out who the killer was you're pretty stupid. it was painfully obvious.
Yeah, it was so painfully obvious that I convinced myself that he wasn't the killer because that'd be too painfully obvious. But I was wrong
you could know who the assasin was like in episode 3
Lol me too. I thought "okay it's so obvious they're trying to make it look like the teacher is the killer. But there's gonna be a twist and he's not gonna be it." Then well... damn.
TastesLikePanda not to dissapoint you but i knew who killer is on ep 2. like they made it so obvious i didn't want to believe it at first.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SO THAT'S WHY THE WATER FLOODED THE HALLWAYS IN THE OPENING OMFG
I would watch the opening and go like "why the random water all of a sudden?". It bothered me so much on how random and unexplained/unfitting that was. smh.
Yo I was like: THATS WHYYYY. Holy shot
it wasn't unfitting though
I am amazed that you just zapped the fact that Jun is standing powerless in GREEN lights pointing out that he is the opposite of a danger but can't prove it / has been trapped (locked up) !
Also the fact that we're looking at him from Satoru's point of view also and him turning back unable to see us marks a disconection imaged by the bars saying Satoru can't help him.
And the image isn't moving, that is important to show that the situation isn't going to change (and right then the time thing happens)
The mom and the other images are also static meaning the same thing but then Satoru walks forward unfreezing everything.
Maybe I just pointed the obvious I don't know, did I ?
I didn't notice these things, so I'm pretty sure they're not very obvious haha
A rapid flash of imagery fills him with
*DETERMINATION*
+Darkion Beat me to it ;)
I still get this song stuck in my head regularly. I actually got my sister to watch erased because one day I was whistling the op and she asked what It was from.
The team that made this OP should be out curing cancer or something, like jesus.
True
Just finished Erased yesterday and was looking for this. Now it's here!
I finished it yesterday too
Same here
I already finished it, but good for you.
I am 3 years late.
Director: how many spoilers do you want in you opening?
Producer: yes
Man I love your videos, and I'd LOVE to see you analyze "Unravel" Tokyo Ghoul's first OP!
yeah, plz
Yeah fuck yeah plz plz
+Diablo Mask I agree!
yes please!!
HIromi being a girl was the most surprising plot twist
+AnimalLover99 *boy
+Gabriel New oh Yah haha. I'm still confused.
I love how the series points out that too.
+AnimalLover99 boy* but yea that was indeed surprising...
+Shruk Pls I know I messed up lmao please forgive me.
Phenomenal dissection again. I really can't get enough of your breakdowns, especially of expertly crafted anime like this one. I'm dying to hear your thoughts on the ED since it struck me as so symbolical and surreal; the visual style used for it was particularly mesmerizing.
Currently I can't become a Pledger for your Patreon but I'm hoping in the near future to change that.
I love the song so much that i can't concentrate on the video :C
kingargola
Same
Man, that was an AWESOME breakdown of a fantastic OP. So many things I didn't notice!
Please do ED. It was really good!
Hey Geoff, I love your analysis, and I was eagerly waiting for this What's in an OP? episode since ERASED came out. So glad you could finally cover it!
Even so, I'd like to point out something: The person "sitting" in prison IS NOT Jun Shiratori, it's Satoru. There's 3 pieces of evidence that support this:
1. The inmate's hair. If you pay close attention, the style is more remnant of Satoru than of Jun.
2. The shot itself. On Episode 1 (I think), Satoru thinks about Jun and his death row; when he is shown, Jun AND the camera itself are clearly different from the one in the OP.
3. The OP Without Satoru. In this OP, the inmate is also missing, hinting that it was Satoru all over, as that would've been his fate if he didn't Revival one last time.
Thanks for reading, and best of luck with future episodes!
This is really good, i never thought to stop at the glasses to see that smal easter egg of the killer. Please do the ED too, its one of my favorite endings as of late.
I can't wait for the ED!! Keep up the good stuff dude
+Lucas Bons I know right~ there's a lot in the ED to explain too, plus the song sounds really good, like it's my current jam
Thanks to your vod, I binge watched all of ERASE and man, that shit with Kayo hits super hard, loved every bit of it.
When covering the first version of the OP you said that the man in the jail cell with the green light was Jun Shiratori, however in version two of the OP there is no man in the cell, showing that it was actually Satoru who was being pictured. Do you feel there's any meaning to Satoru being there? Maybe just the obvious that his adult self was being falsely accused of his mother's murder?
+Shan Veniot I figured that's supposed to show us how Satoru's actions that resulted in him being put in the coma also saved Jun from being framed for the murders.
As in, Satoru has been "jailed" instead?
Man, am I ever excited for that Winter 2015 recap video! I can't wait to hear what show's you've been keeping up with in the past season.
How much did you pay in total for all of those figures?
+MrChocolatez a lot of money and all my dignity
+Mother's Basement I'd say just stick to clickbaiting pics like Sao one xD
+Charlie Crack Corn what?
+Mother's Basement hey I have a question why diden't you cover the third version of the op and what does it mean when characters have red eyes
+Poppa G he covered the theme of red in Erased in a different video ^^
"All the cars are black and white except two"
Actually, only one of those cars is white, so I don't think it's fair to call attention to the blue and red as being separate from that one. Notice that the two black cars are on the edges-- possibly as a symbol of death at the beginning and end, like, say, the deaths in the past and the present that lead to the conflict of the series, also acting as a frame for the white, blue, and red. Red is in the center, meaning violence is the focal point of the series, and, to the left, reading in a Japanese approach of right to left, violence gives way to hopeful blue, and, eventually, to pure white, while the black of death still exists in Satoru's mind as he races to stop the murders.
+Alex M but if you look on both sides there are three black and four white. I think it's mostly because he needed to short down the video so we don't get an long video.
s-ockerdricka maybe you should shorten your comment by 1 letter
See my problem is I always focused on the gay blond (shut up he was totally in love with the mc let me believe)
In my mind Kenya being gay is canon no joke 😂
+Alex Isn't cool I thought it was Hiromi, but then he totally cockblocked his best friend
+Connor McCloskey I still haven't forgiven that mushroom for ending up with Kayo. Uncalled for 😆
Alex Isn't cool How did you find this out?
Yeah, Hiromi was like super close to totally kissing the MC in one of the episodes when Satoru is walking him home, but I guess he decided to go from cocksucking to cockblocking.
This is a brilliant analysis. Most of what you said never even crossed my mind! I particularly loved when you pointed out that it naturally led your eyes to points of interest, no matter which part of the action caught your attention. Amazing, I never would have thought that much meaning can be put into an opening
Still pissed on the fact Kayo couldn't wait 15 years for Satouro -_-
lol cmon man
Volt65 I was glad that she tried to be happy and make the most of the life given to her.
What bugged me was the fact that she didn't wait for him while the killer did...
+Volt65 There's an extra chapter in Erased GAIDEN. It says Kayo waited 2-3 years for Satoru to wake up. But she wasn't living up to her full potential and she was wasting valuable time in her teenage years, just sitting at the hospital, waiting for him. Satoru's mom noticed Kayo and told her to go live a better life. That's when Kayo stopped and decided that she was going to move on, whether Satoru woke up or not.
When your killer waits for you but your girl doesn't...
whyamiseba These girls ain't loyal
the stuff with the eye movement/focus on the screen was really interesting! i had no idea everything was so deliberate, thats so cool
Wow, this is so good. It makes me realize how little I stop to reflect on the meaning of all of these things. Even though I'm not good at this kind of analysis, I really appreciate hearing yours. Subscribed so I can watch more!
Cool thumbnail. Also great analysis, I never noticed how well composed the revival animation was and how those people they show on the film reel aren't just in any random order.
The most surprising part about the ending to me was Hiromi was a dude
Been waiting for you to do an analysis of this OP ever since the anime aired. Amazing as always! Your thumbnail for this video is also great; lmao. Really looking forward to your Winter 2015 recap!

You should do a "What is an OP" for Neon Genesis Evangelion
Kayo and Kenya are amazing. They are my favorite characters.
Somehow I missed that the intro for episode 11 Satoru wasnt in it lol
DEATHxTHExKIDx1 I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE UNTIL NOW JOLY MACAROONS
Impressive video and analysis. Was really impressed when you showed the reflection in Satoshi's glasses when the bullet hit it.
Whats in an OP is like a much cooler version of my 8th grade language arts class
you are brilliant, you made me notice so much cool stuff in openings, now i analyze every new opening i come across!
keep up the good work, im really enjoying these :)
NICE! Hunter X Hunter OP please
That would be cool, but which version?
Adam De Julius the first one at least and hopefully all
+Oikawa Tooru All of the OP/EDs in HunterxHunter are pretty simplistic, I think OP5 has the most creative imagery overall. Would still love to see a holistic view on on all 6 though. Still holding out for Rurouni Kenshin.
YEAH!
YEA
First vid in like 6 months i clicked the like button on. For some reason the analysis in the first 5 mins and the intro rly hit home. Gj man, keep it up :D
The ending made me mad and sad, happy and fucking depressed. I hate it when my ship Burns down and sinks
I have a serious appreciation for your channel, and more specifically these analysis videos, as someone well involved in film techniques. Fantastic stuff! Were it not for the fact that most people may not have seen this series (as tragic as that truly is) I would wish my film classes in college could see something like this. Keep up the great work!
amazing anime IMO. made me cry almost every episode
i just found your channel and it's fucking amazing to see how you can uncover all of this really eerie but so cool and interesting shit in an anime opening. like damn, even the longest pole can't go deeper into the earth than your words can
Have you ever thought about doing the Code Geass openings?
+SirDarkHero
*JIBUN WO*
I liked seeing your face! This was amazing as usual. My mind was blown when you mentioned that the teacher was in the glass shards, I never noticed! Then again I only watched the OP like two or three times. I need to start watching OPs they give so much insight in these shows.
Do you think the lyrics is worth analyzing in these videos?
Also, yeah, do the ED please :3
Amazing analysis!! Half of these observations I didn't even noticed!! Great Job!
Asian kungfu generation song was great for this anime op.
BRILLIANT analysis! As always I'm shocked by your in-depth scene scrutiny, and I was waiting for this video maybe for too long! Since I loved the series and specially the OP and the ED, this video was hard to wait for. By the way, have you ever consider doing a complete series analysis/review? I would totally love to see one of those for Erased, as it has a A LOT of simbolisms and some AWESOME details worth mentioning that hasn't been coveted yet (for example, if you really pay attention, since early in the series you can see the spider web hanging above the killer's victims, specifically Sachiko in chapter 1 and Airi in chapter 6)
Those glass shards that had yashiro in them. I never noticed! Noice!
11:42 Lmao wasn’t expecting that 😂 but Arigatou Gozaimasu for that I needed it lmao 😂😂🤣
I think a video or two on the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OPs would be cool. The foreshadowing to the ending of the manga is ridiculous.
You know I was watching this thinking you wouldn't actually get to the OP without Sotaru in, thank god you did, I am actually so thankful someone else felt the need to comment on something so small yet so big at the same time. Also I think its a really cool idea to cover the ED as well, like you said yourself you loved the show and all, the ED is such a beautiful song as well. Can't explain how much I love these videos. Thanks.
After several years, “Give me money” is still funny. Give him money.
As soon as I saw Erased's OP the first time, I knew you'd be digging into it. It wasn't full of hidden meanings, but it was -really- well put together. Watching your content has me noticing these things now. Thanks for doing what you do. Hope you do more of it.
At least this op doesn't have a camel toe shot like sao
+shelby ladra Well, given that only one female of this anime isn't underage, it would be quite weird to see a cameltoe... Oh, wait... In SAO... OH WAIT...
I love the way you plugged your Patreon.
It actually worked on me.
"By the way I have a Patreon, give me money"
-Mother's Basement 2016
+Katromore DxD Suggested amount, "Like, a million". 0:50 xD talk about details.
YEAAAS I JUST FINISHED THIS ANIME AN HOUR AGO AND NOW THIS IS UPLOADED WOOOOP! Seriously though I would love to see an ED analysis and find more about the spider web story.
Maybe do the OP to Evangelion or Madoka Magica?
Seeing you unravel all the hidden messages in the OP of Erased alone, and finding so much awesome symbolism in it, kinda makes me wonder why Digibro felt the way he did in his review of it.
Also, I never noticed the reflection of Yashiro in Satoru's shattered glasses. Spot on for that.
Just saying, that wasn't jun in the cell with the green light. That was Satoru
nope, they showed that same image in episode 1 or 2 when talking about Jun. The reason he wasn't in the cell in the ep 11 op was probably bc satoru prevented him from being framed so he never went to jail.
oh okay my bad
+Percy Pikmin
I thought so too initially but there's a small detail that contradicts this:
- The person in the prison cell was back behind bars in the final episodes opening.
The question is: "Could that even be Satoru? He was never shown in a cell after all..."
True, but the opening works with metaphors and (potentially cut) concepts just as much as it employs foreshadowing. And since he was captured as well as handcuffed by the police it's obvious that this is the future awaiting Satoru in his fucked up (default?*) timeline.
Now, much more important, could that still have been Jun?
No. No, it couldn't have been him.
Because, as you yourself pointed out, Satoru changed the past so much at that point, that "Yuuki" never got incriminated.
"But wait! It may just be the Jun from the fudged up timeline, right?"
Not exactly.
First of all, if that was the case, why would he be missing in the previous episode's op?
And secondly, at that point in the series, the future was already changed for the better so why would that future even still be relevant?
It's way more plausible, that this is a metaphor for the murderer screwing up the protagonist's life, one way or another. Not to mention Satoru's (and co.'s) entire life(s) was (were) forcefully impacted/restricted, which is implied by a jail sentence, whose entire point is to restrict contemporary freedoms.
But hey, that's just my train of thoughts. If there's any detail I overlooked, which may turn all of my inane ramblings upside-down, please feel free to point it out!
*Whether the first timeline we observe is even the first or not can be debated. There isn't all that much pointing towards such a possibility, but there isn't much disspelling it either. So it's very possible, that when Satoru as a child said, he could have prevented Kayo's murder, he may not have blamed himself for no reason.
Chances are he already had "revivals" as a kid or another older version of him already tried to change the past, but failed and was stuck too long in his child body. That, coupled with the traumatic experience/depressing reality that he was powerless against fate, prompted his mind to erase his more mature/intelligent/calculating part as a result,
Admittedly that is, if anything, not much more than an impressive display of hugely grasping at straws, but... eh... speculating is fun at times.
I'm somewhat niffed, that Jeff didn't mention how similar Satoru's and Yoshio's poses are in the shot with Airi, Kayo and the mother. It was a great... red herring, as it turns out, for Satoru BEING the killer, but at least it implied their two-sides-of-the-same-medal relation. But oh boy, I'm rambling again... sorry, I kinda tend to get sidetracked on occasion. Not to mention that wasn't even part of the original conversation, so I'll stop here.
It follows the timeline, so he saved everyone in exchange for being in a coma, thus jun not being in jail
I am so in love with this channel I can't put it into words
+Mother's Basements I'm guessing your gonna do a whats in an op for the new jojo, but are you gonna wait for the series to finish first?
your videos are always such a delight to watch, thank you for all the effort you put into them :D
"you shouldn't trust the guy in the black suit with a red tie"
> c'mon there are some good ones .
*starts erasing script*
You always choose the best ones to cover!! And yes please do the ending as well, it's officially become my favorite ending theme ever.
2:55
>Headphones
They're earmuffs. It's Winter and constantly snowing in the show.
Also it's 1988, headphones barely exist, especially for 10 year olds.
Wow another fantastic analysis! I really love these, thank you for making them!
Hey I don't want to make it sound like I'm hating, but could you just maybe make the background music slightly squieter so that it's easier to follow your really quick speech?
Beautiful vid. A lot of things that I never caught while watching casually, keep it up!
Can you do Hyouka's openings? Both the first and the second are very interesting.
+mariosonicboom123 YES PLEASE
Lol, that intro was pretty good! Brilliant analysis as always, Geoff.
Ok...I haven't noticed it before, but now with your replay of that scene...look at yashiros feet at 2:30 as he takes the last step. Now I can't fucking unsee it
What am I supposed to be seeing??
rowan henry His right foot goes through the ground
I don't see it.
Never mind. I see it now. Ghost powers.
It's definately not easy to make an analysis like you do, man. Awesome job, thank you!!
Are you going to be doing a Re:Zero OP analysis when it finishes airing?
Another amazing vid Geoff!
just how i didn't notice that yashiro's reflection is in the fvckin op? I mean, at 9:10
Ikr, I never noticed it. xD
I might just be one of your biggest fans bruh. I read the manga when the anime came out and just by chance I’m watching the anime now and while I’m watching it, it reminded me of your video and came back to watch it. It’s crazy just how rewatchble they are.
I'd like to point out water symbolizes rebirth or... revival? Maybe??
hopefully we can see a "What's in an OP" for Madoka Magica soon...! loving ur videos so far, Geoff, keep up the good work~
I would love to see that
Man, u are damn descriptive......
I look up for reviews because I like listening to people actually breaking down the aspect if stories they're reviewing, managing to create theories to questions whose answers never actually revealed in the story.
You don't actually do that, but I'm not complaining. No, seriously, I'm not. Because you take a piece of the story (in this case the op), and break it down into tiny tiny bits. I love it!
I don't get reviews that simply tell me about things that I can understand by simply watching. So yeah, I love you.
Now if only you review more animes that I actually watch... haha!
I didn't really get how the spider thread story fit. a man shows kindness to a spider, dies and goes to hell, is rescued by a spider's thread, and loses his chance because of his selfish cowardice. It didn't really seem to fit with anything in the show
+SurrealKeenan
Well, it seems that a fair bit of content was cut out of the anime because of it being limited to 12 episodes, and the spider thread thing makes less sense in the anime because of that.
darkprinc979 That is a common complaint. I wasn't really a fan of the show, but there's so much intelligent symbolism that I can definitely see the manga being worth reading
very nice. really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the ED analysis. and just in general your next video. these are really enjoyable you're great.
sir please unravel Erased's ending song
