If the integrated Twindos cleaning program doesn't help, the system can be cleaned mechanically. This video shows the necessary steps. Depending on your skills, this process will take 0,5 - 3 hours.
Using a Miele WWV980 WPS as an example.
Required tools:
- T30, T20
- Slotted screwdriver
- Needle nose pliers (to remove the metal ring of the rubber sleeve)

Danke, die anleitung hat die rettung meiner maschine deutlich beschleunigt.
Vielen herzlichen Dank für das Video - hat mich zwar ein paar Stunden gekostet aber das Twindos-System ist jetzt wieder wie neu (Miele erste Generation mit TwinDos - Aufbau ist leicht anders und der Kabelbaum in einem Stück hinten am PCB - alles etwas enger, aber mit Vorsicht und etwas Geduld auch auseinander zu bekommen) - sämtliche Schläuche der P1 (blau) waren zugekleistert mit blauen gummiartigen Schlangen und das Reinigungsprogramm hats einfach nicht mehr geschafft auch nur einen Tropfen Wasser da durch zu kriegen. Von dem Lärm den es gemacht hat mal abgesehen. Ich musste alle Schläuche abnehmen und einzeln reinigen und das Zeug rauspressen, aber es hat sich gelohnt!

Thank you VERY much, today i cleaned my twindos system (wci670), it was more easy than expected because of you. The transparent tube was completely blocked by fabric softener, I will never use my own washing fluid anymore in this machine 😂
I think it's okay to use non-Miele detergent as long as you plan for the next clean-up 😅.

Danke für die hilfreiche Darstellung! Ich möchte darauf hinweisen, dass beispielsweise bei der WKG130 WPS sich der Kabelbaum nicht mehr, wie im Video gezeigt, an der TwinDOS Einheit abstecken läßt, weil die Stecker für die Peristaltikpumpen nicht zugänglich sind. Stattdessen muss man die beiden TwinDOS Stecker an der Elektronikbaugruppen in der Waschmaschine hinten unten rechts (von hinten gesehen) abstecken und aus den Kabelkanälen ausfädeln, nachdem man die Abdeckung der Elektronikbaugruppe abgenommen hat. Dazu Rückwand abnehmen. Der an der Wanne befestigte Kabelbaumhalter läßt sich von unten leicht ausklipsen, dazu Waschmaschine auf der Seite der Elektronikeinheit anheben.
Hallo, in meinem Twindos System ist eine Schlauch von der Schlauchpumpe geplatzt. wo bekomme ich so einen schlauch?
This was a brilliant video. Thank you for making it. I've taken my machine part to try and fix it but one of the plastic "triggers" that slips onto the circuit board to detect a twindos container has broken. Do you know where I can get a replacement, or a part number?
Unfortunately, no. Unfortunately, Miele also does not publish their maintenance manuals or their parts lists. So for me it's very hard to get to this kind of information. Sometimes, part numbers are engraved in the plastics, but probably those triggers are too tiny to have a part number engraved.
In your case, I would try to seek help in an online forum (there is a great forum for household appliances, unfortunately only in German: forum.teamhack.de)
If this does not work, maybe somebody has created a 3D model of it, so that you can print a new trigger on a 3D printer.
Apart from that, I have no idea.
Hi, my machine is the
Miele WMV 960 WPS.
It’s 7 years old and given good service… until recently.
The soap drawer box has leaked down onto the machines floor, thus causing the Water Protection System (WPS) to activate.
I also noticed the
Twin Dos unit is leaking at the point where all 4 tubes interconnect to a small plastic assembly (as shown in your video). Do you know if I can order these parts straight from Germany?
Miele UK will only deal with trading businesses.
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with ordering specific Miele parts. Standard things I needed so far (bearings, vibration dampers) were available in many online marketplaces.
Hello, can I clean the system by setting the gardenhose on the twindos sytem while the machine is intact?
I tried that at first, but had no success. So I decided to disassemble the whole system.

Kann man das Spülen mit dem 1/2" Schlauch zunächst mit warmem Wasser versuchen, ohne den Twindos Behälter auszubauen?
Ich hab das zunächst ebenfalls versucht. Wichtig dabei ist es, dass die entsprechende Twindos-Pumpe läuft (z.B. durchs Twindows-Reinigsungsprogramm aktivieren). Wenn die Pumpe steht, blockiert sie den Durchfluss sehr effektiv.
Bei mir hat das allerdings nicht zum Erfolg geführt. Ich hab den Twindos-Schlauch mit einer Fahrradpumpe durchgeblasen. Die Druckanzeige ging zunächst über drei Bar hinaus, bis sich der Pfropfen gelöst hat.
Ein Wort der Warnung jedoch: Das kann schnell eine große Schweinerei geben, daher sollte man dabei damit rechnen, hinterher die Waschmaschine öffnen zu müssen, um ggf. Wasser aus der Bodenwanne zu entfernen.
Weiß jemand, was das hinten für zwei gelbe Knöpfe in der Einheit sind (In der Twindos Einheit hinten, da wo die Federn für die Kartuschen sind)?

Thanks for this video. I have Fault F 0212 with TwinDos Compartment 1. Unfortunately the Maintenance program won't even start. Can I use this method to fix it? I have been using only original brand new TwinDos cartridges, I don't understand why this error occurred.
Could you find out what the fault code means?
My guess would be that it is twindos pump two. My number one pump is clogged and gives 0211… I can perform the maintenance cycle on 2, but not 1
@@jckrarupmine is pump 1 then, not 2. Shame i couldn't fix it. I assumed it was fixed before re-assembling the machine. I can't be bothered to have another go at it as it was a real pain.
Mega Video!! 1000 Dank...Ich hab auch Twin Dos, aber zum Glück - noch - kein Problem. Aber gut zu wissen, wie es aussieht.....Eine Frage habe ich. Wie sicher ist der Anschluss von den Schläuchen, wo es in die Trommel reingeht? Da hast Du so ein weisses Plastik Ding rausgedreht. Ist das reingeschraubt? Ist da eine Dichtung dran? Wie sicher ist diese Stelle gegen Auslaufen an der Trommel? LG Stefan
Hi. Freut mich, dass es dir gefällt. Der Auslauf wird in eine Art Gummimanschette in die Trommel gesteckt. Im ersten Moment hatte ich mich auch gewundert, dass es nur gesteckt ist. Wie sicher die Verbindung ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen.
Uff, bei mir scheints auch verstopft zu sein, laengere Zeit nicht daheim gewesen. Der Ausbau sieht machbar aus, aber der Zusammenbau, den Dichtungsring, na ich weiss nicht. 😅 Habs mit Ankippen und Fön versucht, nuescht, verdammt und zugenäht. Kann man die vollen Kartuschen selber verwenden? Statt Pulver die Kartuschen, irgendwie im richtigen Verhältnis mischen? Zum Wegwerfen zu schade. Irgendwie ist das nen Designfehler. Muesste nach jedem Waschen durchgeblasen werden. 😂

It is probably a combination of two factors: The owner used a non-Miele detergent and the washing machine was unused for some months.
I don't know if this is a common problem.
@@rechtaufreparatur2965 But still, you can flush it with hot water using the twindos cleaning program wouldn't that be enough?
@@arnojacobs1564 Unfortunately not. I used the twindos cleaning program several times, but there was no flow at all.
@@rechtaufreparatur2965 its a shame people don't take extra care of such a expancive machine, ya'll know that the Miele liquid is way thinner than the regulair liquid detergent so extra care is neccesary, i think it's just i good thing to flush the twindos every 2 weeks or monthly with hot water to provide any problems with this machine
@@arnojacobs1564 I agree with you. If Twindos is used regularly, there may be less problems and cleaning is not necessary too often. Thanks for pointing that out with the Twindos cleaning program. I added a note about it in the video description.
Ich hätte eine Frage. Hat das einen Grund, dass du den Schlauch zwischen Pumpe und Behälter nicht abgezogen hast? Könnte man nicht erst den reinigen und dann, wenn der wieder frei ist, es wieder mit der Pumpe versuchen? Es sieht so aus, als käme man an den ran, ohne die ganze Einheit auszubauen
Das hätte man sicher auch probieren können. Ich habe damit allerdings keine Erfahrung. Auch ist es schwer zu beurteilen, ob die Pumpe dann tatsächlich richtig pumpt, oder der Durchfluss weiterhin reduziert ist.
@@rechtaufreparatur2965 Danke für die Antwort und danke für das Video. Tatsächlich lassen sich alle Schläuche problemlos abziehen und reinigen. Twindos System ist wieder wie neu. Ohne ihr Video wäre das nicht so einfach gewesen.

Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit, die TwinDos-Leitung zu entstopfen, als die gesamte Waschmaschine zu zerlegen?
In meinem Waschtrockner WTH 720WPM funktioniert die Kartusche nr.1 nicht.

Ich hab keine andere funktionierende Möglichkeit gefunden. Beispielsweise hab ich vorher versucht, per 1/2"-Wasserschlauch im eingebauten Zustand zu spülen.
Wäre aber auch an einer einfacheren Lösung interessiert.
Typical overly complicated German engineering. I have a 2 year old twindos machine and dread the day, and cost, when the system has to be cleaned. Even so It’s the best washing machine I’ve ever owned.
