Thanks for watching! Yes it is the original tank. The Speed master stove has a couple variations. They were either painted or nickel plated. I have another video on my channel of a restoration of a nickel plated one.
Mr.Vintage, awesome video, I can't help but ask, would you ever consider restoring a 500 coleman model for one of your subscribers thank u . Oh, and obviously be compensated for your hard work. Thanks
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it! I would be happy to talk about your restoration! Feel free to reach out to me at mr.vintagerestoration@gmail.com
@@MrVintageRestoration good afternoon, my name is Wade, I sent an earlier email this morning but was unsure if you received. I didn't want to much time to go by because I just wanted you to know I'm very serious about having my stove restored. I should be receiving my stove by Wednesday, so if it's o.k. I could send you a picture and hopefully, maybe we can have a discussion about your time and schedule and about costs. Thank you for your time.
@@wadeosceola6738 Hi Wade, I didn't receive the email. mr.vintagerestoration@gmail.com I'm happy to chat with you about the stove. I do take customer work from time to time although not often. Mr. Vintage is my side gig, in addition to a family and full time job. That being said I'm happy to talk with you about your Coleman 🙂
Mr. Vintage, I totally understand and it's why I wanted to to be considerate of your time . I was just really impressed not only with your video but by the focus and expertise that it took to get to the finished product. So before it gets too late, if it's o.k. when the stove comes in , I'll send you a picture and hopefully we can get to the next step. Have a pleasant night ! Thank you.
Mr. Vintage, I hope it's not too late . I just wanted to ask you if it was o.k. to send a couple pictures of my 1940/ 500 coleman stove. I know your busy , so maybe we could just talk about a first step . Thank you .

1. Use the correct size wrench. Crescent wrenches do nothing but distort nuts. 2. Penetrating oil, always.
