1. Avoid Fast acceleration/deacceleration
2. Once in a month, run at high speed. Removes carbon.
3. Listen to car’s voice, if any issue, timely service
4. Don’t ignore warning signs in MID
5. In morning, Keep car idle for max 25 seconds then drive, so engine is ready.
6. Run car at least once a week.
7. Avoid rusting. Keep good care in monsoon.
8. Timely service.
9. To slow down the car use brakes not gears
10. Reverse only when car is fully stopped.

Bro gear toh shift down karna hi honge otherwise how will you accelerate again on higher gears. Common sense.

1 - Use your engine brake when needed but don't use your clutch as brake.. and don't just rely only on your brakes in hilly roads but also use engine brake..
2 - Resting your hand on gear knob will damage your transmission is a myth in FWD cars because unlike RWD cars FWD car transmission is cable driven and not directly connected with gear knob like in RWD cars..
3 - Engine is mostly damaged by lack of maintenance.. Most engines nowadays (especially JDM engines) are made to take abuse and are very reliable if you maintain them well..
4 - There is a breaking period of any engine up to some thousands of kilometres and if you don't follow that period seriously then there are more chances of engine failure in future..

Point:9. I disagree. We can use engine barking while on hill stations. It's also recommended in manual. If you keep pressing brakes thn coz of vaccum your brakes won't work.
