Two weeks ago we were butt fusing 10" hdpe. Got my right ring finger between the pipe and the facer. Colleague on the other end of the pipe pushed it suddenly smashing my finger into one of the blades cutting off the tip of the finger and tearing off the finger print skin! be extremely carefull!

If the facer is in place the pipes should already be clamped how did your coworker move the pipe?

Why not use a automated machine, seems silly to manually set all the pressure settings
