WRC is such a competitive series every year and this one seems more so than ever. One slight mistake and the whole outcome changes so fiercely. Loved the sport since the 1950s. Love Elfyn and can't wait to see him out again and on form.

I've been trying to understand rally rules more recently, why would the driver and co driver be changing the wheels and not the team mechanics? Did they have a flat or something?
Between stages mechanics can’t work on cars nor would they be able to get to the car in time so drivers have to change tires, adjust dampers etc.... most of the drivers in the wrc are very good technically and are able to repair damaged parts of the car in certain circumstances. I hope this helps
@@nickisaacs4074 Yep there is no service between all stages, only between certain ones, so sometimes the driver and the co-driver are the only persons that can do something on the car. (Just wanted to extend your comment a lil bit to help @Esab :D )
They're rotating the tyres, the fronts tend to get more worn than the rears. Service is strictly controlled but the car crew is allowed to work on the car with anything they carry with them in the car.
