Thankyou for doing this video, I am going into level 3 health and social care in September. Hope second year goes well for you x
You will love it I’ve just finnished my first year and it’s been hard but it’s helped me in so many ways xx
I’m just about to start it in gcse in September x
Sophie Curran are you in college or uni?
Same here! So excited xx
same, goodluck x
I was stressing so much these past couple of days not knowing what i will do but this video has changed my whole perspective thank you so much😩❤️
Aww I’m so glad it helped 💓
@@jessica-jayneblogs4509 do you know what the final exam in year 13 is on please?
@@chocolatebar1592 unit 3 (anatomy and physiology) and unit 4 (Research)
I can't believe I have watched this whole video which was really helpful and gave me some good advice for when I do plan to do the level 3 Health and Social care💕
Amazing!! I’m on my third week of level 3 Thankyou so much ❤️I’m hoping to go to uni !
i’m hoping to do level 3 health and social care at college in september (fingers crossed!) and i could barely find any info about the subject apart from on the college websites and this is all so helpful :)
Well good luck 🤞🏻 and I’m glad I could help 🤍
Thank you for this video, it has really helped. I’m a mature student with 4 children, I was looking at doing the access course into health professionals but from what I’ve heard it’s very intense plus I’d have to get a student loan for it. I have recently stumbled across health and social care and your video has really helped me decide that I think health and social care would be more suited to me as it’s more of a steady pace and it appeals to me more. I know it’s a 2 year course but I’d rather take more time and do well than rush and fail. Thank you for your video. x
I hope this is all going well for you! If you need anything, message me on any of my socials and I will try to help. x
thank you so much for this video i can’t wait to start my course this was literally all the reassurance i needed ❤️ ps your so beautiful😌💝
Charley T Thank youuuu 💓
This diploma has done so much for me. I struggled so much in high school and worked my way up from level one to level 3 year 2, came out with 9's and am going to university next month to study a foundation health and social care degree. If you put as much into this course as you can, you will get lots out of it ❤
After my foundation degree I can go do a full bachelors in enhanced health care practice. You can do anything you put your mind to and there is always a way!!
I love this video u know how to explain and make ppl understand I acc love this thank you I rlly needed this gave me feel more better for college to know what it will be like
I’m so glad it helped 💕
This was such a good video! Thanks so much I want to become a paramedic and I’m super excited!
Good Luck with this!!
This was helpful because I was looking for videos for info a while ago and it wasn’t anyone around my age to relate to me! Xx
Mikayla S I’m so glad this helped as I was in your position a year ago! Xx
Thank you so much for this video! My daughter is in her last year of GCSE’s and this has been so insightful about what to expect from both the course and college life.
I am so glad this has helped her! All the luck to her with her future and exams!

I'm studying this course in Sept and thank you so much, I was so excited to take this route and I still am and everything you mentioned about GCSE's I was exactly the same thank xx
Olivia Morgan No problem. Good luck with it x
I am also going into second year and have no regrets with this course! Excited for 2nd year as I prefer the topics, but know the work load is heavier xx
Olivia A yeah it’s not going to be easy! But I reckon it will be interesting 💓
A video on study tips would be much appreciated please thank you, I am taking this course currently and I am afraid I won’t be able to keep up with all the work
I just got three U’s in my AS levels and my college would’nt let me carry on to Second year unless I got a pass
I’m so motivated with my work and I put lots of effort in but I have an awful memory that’s why I did so bad
So I decided to start looking at btecs that I could do next year and this video really helped thankyou :)xx
Hustle Boy well you can because I revised everyday ..
This was actually soooo helpful
J amin aww I’m glad 💓

I’ve been looking for a video like this because I’ve just finished it at GCSE ❤️
Thanks I hope it helped 💓
Jessica-Jayne Blogs I’m still watching and I kinda feel like first year is like the level 2 that I did at GCSE
OMG we both want to be a midwife and do the apprenticeship route and btw you are so pretty ❤️
Yeah it might be similar, but it will most likely have aspects that go into further detail for level 3. I wouldn’t know as I didn’t do level 2 🙂💓
Thank you so much!! 💓
This video is so helpful for our family. My son is just finishing Level 2 Health & Social Care and is going to 6th form to do Level 3 Health & Social Care which his school has said it's worth 2 A levels. He struggles with exams but works really hard and is good with coursework. This video is so helpful. Thanks a million times.
Thank you! I hope he enjoys it 🤍🤍
I’m starting college all alone and starting this course and I’m horrifieddd but also excited for a fresh start

Jessica-Jayne Blogs Thankyou so much angel🥺
Hey thank you so much for the video !! Also would you say year 1 is easier or harder then year 2 ?
Hi Thankyou for this video I am doing this subject in September and very interested in it but I am only doing two a levels is health and social care equivalent to one a level or two a level?
I’m going to be doing L3 childhood studies but it’s the same department so thanks!
Ruby-mae Np!
Hey! Could you do a year 2 video next year xx Thanks for the video I am starting this course in sept.
Hahah yes I aim to do that!!
I always got told by my health and social care professors that if i wanted to become a teacher i’d be better of doing childcare? lol
but tysm this video helped a lot as i’m going to be doing my level 3 health and social care in sept
As someone who is worried that it wouldn't be leading to more medical jobs I want to thank you for this. Pure exams puts me off Sixthform and I think I will really like all of the units on the course. I have applied to a Sixthform college so it might be a little different than a college.
I know it will still be difficult but I'm really looking forward to mostly the course work as I struggle so much with exams even though I work really hard.
I’m starting this course this Friday and I’m so nervous! But I’m excited to start this new course. I’m hoping to progress to study radiography at uni
Omg good luck! 💕💕 I start on tuesday and im kinda excited. Lmk how it went for you x
Sorry for the late reply! Hope this is all going okay 💕💕
Jessica-Jayne Blogs thank you! It’s my 3rd week on college and my timetable is like I’m in for one week and then I’m off for next week cause of corona. I’m on Zoom calls when I’m at home for the week. I’m kinda nervous about the unit 1 and 2 exams.
fxheem Oh okay! Don’t worry you will be fine. Just keep up the good work and you will be fine ☺️
Jessica-Jayne Blogs thank you!! 💕
I’m starting this course in September :) also is that the grey’s anatomy theme tune at the start?
Ahaha I don’t think so
Asking for my daughter who is right now in year 11 so health and social care two year course after completing she wants to be a dental hygienist or therapist so what's the next step? Please help ... thank you in advance x
I am currently in the second year of doing this subject in sixth form
And there is alot of pressure and stress
You literally have no social life and it is really complex
Hi there when will I need to buy the level 3 book by. Thank you
Is online NVQ level 3 or CACHE level 3 in Health and Social Care valid for senior care ?
Please help if I join this course from September, I study for 2 years and finish it. But I want to be a doctor or a dentist in the future. What do I need to do so that after this 2-year course I can enter the university and become a doctor? I know that I won't study A-level chemistry on this course, but I need chemistry to enter university. Does that mean I need to study longer (7 years) and pay more for the university?
How many assignment do you get in a week and how long do the essay need to be .
Hi , I'm starting health and social care in September for yr12, and I'm new into this subject. Should I start with level 1 or not?
Mary Tulu no I would say if you get GCSE’s then definitely go to level 3. But if u struggled then start with level 2
If you are a care worker for more than 2 years then you don't need to level 2 you can directly do level 3. There is even online level 3 courses.
Hi, can you tell me some things I can tell my college during my interview about why I want to do this course?
I wanted to do a levels but I'm changing to btec level 3
Thank you!
Hello! I would just say show your passion for the professions within this course. Also, just show them your excitement and how hard you are willing to work. This will show them that this career path is right for you.
This video was so helpful thank you! also one question, i have never done healht and social care before and is planning on doing so this september, can we start of in health and social care level 2 and slowly progress to level 3 during second year? please reply asap ;) great video waiting for more to come!
Thanks and yes but I think if you start at level 2 it takes 3 years to complete both level 2 and 3. But level 3 really isn’t as daunting as it seems, but it is purely what is best for you 💓💓
Have you done a controlled assessment and what is it about??
Hey xx I need help I went to become surgeon nurse what course should I apply?
Are the exam units (1 and 2) heavy in terms of content and is it more memory learning or applying your knowledge ? thanks for this video !!
I’m me the exams units are fairly heavy but nothing compared to GCSEs. It’s a bit of both because the units are completely different. I would say unit 1 is more memory learning and unit 2 is more applying your knowledge! I hope this helps x
I’m starting this course this September what school supplies would you say I need for it as I have no clue
I wanna know too. It’s been a week have you bought anything
Rehana Hussain samme
Sorry for a late reply! I do have a video on both stuff for your bag and a pencil case. Go check it out it is on my channel 💓
When you mentioned presentations do you only preform it in front of your teacher or the teacher and the whole class?
Catherine Close I did it just in front of my teacher
loved the video :) did you have to do roleplay? and did you have to do the presentations in front of the whole class xx
Thanks and presentations are done in front of just your teacher. I haven’t done role play but your teachers may do it as a learning technique xx
Hey, I got degree achieved level 2:1 merit in Health and Social Care, can I become a paramedic with the qualifications
I'm current starting my course for health and social care level 2 at sixth form. I found your video really helpful as it gave me an open mind about what I'm getting myself into. I'm currently really nervous and hope there's a couple of boys in my class as I wont feel like I'm not the only boy there. Is level 2 really hard and stressful ?
I hope this is going well for you and are enjoying it! More boys go into it than you expect! I'm sure you are doing great.
HII SHOULD I BE APPLYING ANOTHER SUBJECT WHILE DOING HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE? LOVE YOU ❤❤
Thank you!! 💓 and if your doing level 3 then no. But make sure you have back up options in your mind just in case.
I did this course. I did a level 3 national extended certificate in health and social care x
I'm currently doing my second year and finding unit 4 quite difficult. Do you have any recommendations on how to revise unit 4 Enquiries into research?
would you say an extended certificate in h&sc alongside a levels would be suitable for psychology? 💕
Zoe Stanney I think the extended diploma is something that has to be done by its self if you are doing the exact course I am discussing in my video! You do also cover psychology in this course. If that’s what you are interested in!! 💓
im currently doing level 2 extended diploma in h&sc and I’m hoping to move onto level 3 next year
I hope you enjoy it 💓
same is your exam board cache level 2 extended diploma
@@lilypark3427 yes!! i’ve also applied for the level 3 course in september xx
Hi Jessica! I'm just about to finish NVQ level 3 in social care . My question is are you able to get into univesity with NVQ L3?
Hello! I’ve done some searching and it seems that you can! But I would check with your teacher about this just to make sure! 💓
I'm a boy and trying to apply for this course but I'm a bit afraid that the course I do is all girls no boys
I paid for health and social level 3 on learn direct, I just want to know if I will be accepted in university to study nursing ?
If you are doing the extended diploma then yes! But if it is just the level 3 I am not too sure x
Hey is anyone going into y12 in 2021 and doing L3 H&SC and want to be in a study gc reply to comment 🥰
Hello, I am a mature student and was wondering if you recommend level 2 first or straight to 3? X
Tbh I don’t want to give you the wrong advice but for an extra year I think it would be worth it to get the level 2 aswell. X
Hi this was so helpful just wanted to ask if I could become a dentist through health and social care?
I believe so, but just check with the college or six form you want to go to!
Can you go into radiography with this subject?
hi thanks for this video, i was just wondering do you think someone could be a vet after doing this course?
Miss lovely if I’m honest, I don’t think so because it is very human based care oriented. Just to be sure, ask your college/ six form for more info! 💓
@@jessica-jayneblogs4509 thankyou✨
Hi how many words are the coursework’s normally?
I normally do between 8,000 - 12,000 on reports and essays but if you do presentations then that is completely different. Also I tend to write a lot so you can write less than that!!
I’m on the CACHE specification so ours is graded D to A*
Olivia A oh that’s cool! 😊
can btec health and social care level 3 get you into paramedic and uni?
ella x Yes!
tysm for this, i just wanted to ask how many days a week do you go to college to study this course?
anisa for the first year I was on 3 days but everyone’s is different some other classes were on 4 day’s it just depends!
Jessica-Jayne Blogs how long were lessons for you? tysm x
Can you do BTEC health and social care level 3 when you haven’t done gcse health and social care?
Amy Coker I didn’t do it so yes!
If you take health and social care level 3, does that count as 3 subjects rather than one as it is level 3?
Hello, if you take the Level 3 Extended Diploma it is equal to 3 A Levels, however if it's just the level 3 it is equal to 1.5 A levels. Hope that made sense x
i’m taking this course in september in sixth form i hope i like it, this video was really helpful. do you have any stationary recommendations for this course ?
Hey! Good luck and I have two videos called Pack my Pencil case and Pack my bag for college, it’s to do with this course and in general! Hope this helps 🤍
Does it include a lot of maths
What GCSEs did you get ? As I’m freaking out if I should do a levels or a BTEC health and social care l3
Mia Chang I got maths, English, 3 sciences, french, drama, geography and RE! You will be fine. Some people get in with 4 GCSEs and do well
Jessica-Jayne Blogs ah I see I did great on all my gcse 5 being my lowest grade , and 7 highest for some
Mia Chang You will be fab at this course then!!
Is it harder to do , when you didn’t do it in secondary school?
It is quite easy to pick up! Your teachers will be there to support you and help where u find it difficult. You don’t need to do it in secondary school to understand it!
Jessica-Jayne Blogs aha I hope so because I’m freaking out
Mia Chang Don’t!! Seriously, u will do great 💓
I just transferred from electronics to this course because i thought electronics was way too hard and it just wasn’t for me. I gotta do a lot of catching up though
Hope this all went okay for you!
Do you do any placements? Where did you go for placement\how many hours?
Sorry for the late reply. For me it will be 100 hours and could be anywhere really x
I’m not sure if you mentioned this in the video or not - which exam board is your course? 💓Great video by the way💓
It’s Pearson 💓 and thank you!
hey what book do you use for this xx
Just Sxli Hiya, so there are a couple that you will be given! You will get a revision guide and I got given the Pearson BTEC National Health and Social Care Student Book 1 and I am not too sure which book you get given in Year 2 but I think it is just the Second Student Book! Xx
so it is possible to get into uni with this?
Stfu definitely!!
I chose health and social care for sixth form and I’m nervous to do it. I got level 2 merit in gcse😭
Kay E You will be just fine! Just enjoy it 💓
Your instagram page doesn’t exist 😢
The think is I want to be a pharmacist but I havent done biology or any science just social science so I want to pick health and social care but Im really stressed Because Idk if Id be able to because I havent got a science in it.I changed my idea to doing clinical psychology but ai dont wan to study after collage for 9 years ..... I also have law but my brother want to be a lawyer and he doesn’t want me to do it :( Im so stuck
Official_Bismah Yeah this does sound tricky! Best thing to do is to talk to some teachers in college about the best path to allow you to do what you want to do and explore other avenues because you might find something else you really like! Don’t close yourself off. Also if you want to be a lawyer then do that! It’s your life. But talk to your brother about it so you can come to a reasonable agreement! X
Jessica-Jayne Blogs your right,Just having a hard time need to make my personal statement too but thankyou for replying❤️
Official_Bismah Np!!
Does it help u to do psychology in university to be a therapist ?
I think this can help you to go on and do this but I would just check with the teachers!
i hope this course helps me in my choice of either becoming a social worker or a nurse 😔. i wanna be both
Well good luck in choosing 😊
@@jessica-jayneblogs4509 thank you 😊
you could be a clinical social worker🤗 that’s what i’m also interested in becoming!
@@helena-boateng yes i have heard of that. But in these two months the course has really inspired me to be a nurse ☺️. I hope to study adult nursing at uni now 😃
If u don’t mind me asking what back up plan did u have instead of health and social care
My plan was to do Alevels and do biology, geology and geography because they were the only ones I was interested in. But looking at it now I think I would look into doing a science diploma :)
I also saw your other comment but it won’t let me reply! Sometimes it isn’t the thing for you. But if you haven’t tried it for long, try and stick it out cause it might change. If you really don’t like it ask advice for next steps to moving away from the parts you dislike!
Jessica-Jayne Blogs thank you for replying that really helped ❤️
illaoi bot No problem! Always happy to help :)
Would you do a video on your first year folder?
Yes but I currently don’t have access to it!
I’m planning on doing level 3 extended diploma in acting, would I be able to take another subject as just a btec so only equivalent to 1 a level as I need something as a backup, please help
Emma Simpson If I’m being honest I am not to sure whether you can do extra Btec courses. I think that is something you would have to discuss with the teachers at your campus! Sorry x
Jessica-Jayne Blogs it’s okay! Well when you picked your level 3 extended diploma we’re you offered to take another subject or course? Or were you only allowed to do that course?
If ur taking level 3 in acting u can’t take on another course
M _H adventurers thank you!
Sorry for the late reply but I was only allowed to take one level 3 course.
I want to be a doctor is it a good idea to take biology chemistry physics an healthy and social care.
For a doctor, its recommended to do A levels but health and social care level 3 alongside them would be beneficial on your applications and CV. Hope this helps x
Do u take anything else like two other subject or just health and social because in my college you have to take three
In my college, It is it’s own course. Yours might not be the extended diploma? :)
@@jessica-jayneblogs4509 what the difference yeah for me I take two other subject with it I start tomorrow. I swapped from sociology alevel to health because it was so hard and btech are easier
@@jessica-jayneblogs4509 it’s equivalent to one alevel my exams board is edexcel
Is this course equivalent to 2 levels and can I go into the medical field or dentistry field
Ffg Ffg the Level 3 part is equivalent to 1 and 1/2 a levels. The extended diploma part makes it equal to 3 A-levels at the end of the two years. I think you can! I heard you can become a dentist assistant from it, but the best thing to do is check with your college!
Jessica-Jayne Blogs what if I do the btec equivalent to 2 alevels and biology with it what careers can I go into or uni courses can I do xx
Ffg Ffg I think you can do similar! But I don’t want to give you the wrong answers so ask your college and they will reassure you! :)
Do you have do work experience in that course??
Diāna B it depends on the college! But for mine yes, we get set a time period where we have to complete 100 hours of work but your college should help you set all of that up.
hello , can you become a pediatrician nurse with health and social care a level?
Yes!! 💓
Hi Jessica my dream is to become a Registered Nurse will i be able with this course?
Jasmine Kaur Yes!!😊
