"It's basically a lever, but it looks nicer" You can tell Rendog does not quite understand just how nice a single block T-Flop is, but he is trying to be supportive, and that's nice.
He did say though on the livestream that it's cool that you can have several inputs, which you can't on a lever
he's a good listener, but also i believe he's trying hard to understand how redstone work too
Although it’s not a one block t-flip flop because then dispensers with a powder snow bucket in them are also one block t-flip flop (or 2 blocks if you absolutely want to count the powder snow block but the difference is negligible

I feel like Ren already understands redstone a lot better than I do 😂 I've watched this entire video with a slight frown of confusion on my face :')
When they changed item physics in water, it made having ice under water completely irrelevant for item transportation, you only need ice between streams.
Its because items float on the water and dont touch the ice to get the speed up that it had before.
It might be worth crafting the slime into slime blocks before sending it through the item streams as well.
I still use ice for the transition blocks, those that don't have water, I have the feeling it helps.
It does , that's what they're saying: between streams you should have ice to maintain momentum, under water don't bother.
Water flows to the nearest hole, i.e. the nearest block that is lower and doesn't update unless a block update is next to it, right?
So you could remove a block 3 blocks or so after the end of a stream and place a source on the end of the same stream. The source would then flow to the hole and doesn't interfere with the other stream at all. Plug the hole, water keeps flowing onwards, because it doesn't flow backwards.
No need for an air gap between streams, no need for ice, no need for pressure plates or glow lichen.
Or am I mistaken? I can't verify that right now sadly

I think your lever analogy kept ren from understanding that t-flipflops are actually really useful rather than just an aesthetic replacement for levers. Like you could put one at the bottom of your vertical wall circuit so the state of a machine at the bottom changes every time the state of the wall changes. Levers can't do that.
Iskall has to be one of the most underrated hermits on the server.

idk if hes still underrated, on the reddit for example he's basically the most talked about hermit. i think hes getting really popular
you need to wax the bulbs though. like other copper blocks they oxidize, and when they oxidize, their light production drops. i believe so does the comparator readout

Copper Bulb used to let you offset Redstone by smaller intervals than usual in a really compact manner, but Mojang removed it.
It had a 1 redstone tick delay compared to the usual 2 ticks of nearly every other redstone component
I don't think Iskall ever really dealt with stuff that required tick-to-tick efficiency, so it wouldn't affect him much. But he does build contraptions so the compact cop-flop is amazing for him.
Iskall, just a heads up, you need to apply wax to the copper bulbs in your creeper farm. Another mechanic of copper lamps is that the more they oxidise, the dimmer they get. So after a while your burst switch wont work and the farm will stay on all the time.

What Ren may not realize is that with that block instead of having a lever in every end of the line or a loong line of redstone and repeaters, all you need is the block itself, an observer and anything that can update it, making it as versatile as it gets, heck you could just throw an item and having it pass through string being observed and it's done!!
REN!!! It's waaay better than a lever! Levers only accept human input while copper bulbs accept redstone inputs, that means you can put the T-Flip-Flop anywhere in your contraptions.
That is true, though not for very much longer. The wind charge can trigger a lever, too. which means you can trigger a lever soon from basically render distance soon without any wires and without direct player input.
As someone who doesn’t understand redstone very much, this comment made me so happy lol. I understand now!!! I can actually get what you mean!!!!
It's like a lever but so much cooler is such an understatement, because you can't reverse a lever with redstone unlike the bulb

I now understand what a T flip flop is.
You can also add trapdoors under the glass of the creeper farm to stop the creepers from seeing you.
It's called the t flip flop, because generally you use this piston vertically.
The regular full block that the redstone signal passes through will get pushed up by a piston underneath it, breaking the line.
It looks like an upside down T shape

as long as the bedrock blocks aren't where your lichen is, the water stream will be ok.
Not only are copper bulbs t-flops all on their own, each age tier of copper bulb has a different max brightness and a different max power putput

I've literally never had anyone explain redstone in a way I understood it until this video, this is insane.
Fun fact, t-flip flops were a thing WAY back when it was purely redstone circuitry. Things have come a LONG way and I love that now it's one block lol XD
Iskall, you should ask Etho about his shulker box loader design. You could fill shulkers with items automatically to send them up your bubblevator, thus producing slightly less lag for much more effort lol.
You need to honeycomb the copper bulb, or else they will oxidize. If that happens they won't be bright.

Iskall you should see Yoel about him giving you a cut of slime profits in exchange for using your farm. Maybe you two could even have a shop together and somehow antagonize etho and vintagebeef with it. You're creative pesterees, you could find a way.
Can you make a store that changes the price of the rockets depending on the stock you have? For example when you have 5+ double chests of rockets its like really cheap but when stock is low prices rise (lower supply so higher value). This will make sure your store does not sell out because the last rockets will be to expensive and people will wait till prices drop. Seems like a fun twist but it's just a thought.
This one was fun to watch live. Iskall's pure amazement at the copper bulbs was great to watch live

it would be so cool if iskall used autocrafters to turn the sugarcane and gunpowder directly from the water stream into paper then rockets and then put it in a shulker loader.... like you can fully automate this

I feel like such a redstoner today. I discovered the "Cop Flop" before both Mumbo AND Iskall
Also, on context of "it turns a button into a lever", t-flops obviously do more than that. They turn any burst of restone into a constant, which is often a necessity in restone builds. It's not just to replace levers. It's just the easiest way to demonstrate and explain it out of context. (Not trying to say IskallMan didn't know this, I promise)
Tip for the old creeper farm:
U could rise few blocks up the campfires
Also you could use nether portal trick so when creepers go in nether other creepers spawn again without delay, that raises spawn rates and also production of gunpowder🙂

Edited stream clips is a really good idea, several large RUclipsrs like SmallAnt and DougDoug do this for their main channels. I could see uploading too many videos on your main channel being a problem though

Could you make the lower creeper farm send the creepers up via water stream and then suffocate them via entity cramming in the water elevator or something? Maybe that would still not be efficient way to do it.

The bulbs do not use comparator states. They are simply a toggled redstone block.

2:49 I know how to get rid of Bedrock outside of the game. Just go to your settings, uninstall a program, scroll to it, and uninstall.

I don't get the point of disabling the old farm, it's just catching Spawn attempts which would otherwise fail
Sure it's taking up mobcap, but at least it's with creepers that die/despawn pretty soon after, which actually mainly decreases the chances of mobs spawning in places missed by spawnproofing, which might not despawn (like the creepers)

I am confusion. If the T flip-flop does the same thing as a lever, what's the point of making one? Why not just use the lever?

Then the water would flow into the hole, you plug that hole and the water keeps going straight? Then you don't need a pressure plate nor glow lichen. This doesn’t work, if I’m understanding you correctly anyways. The Water will still flow into each other and it causes the items to get stuck in transit
