Crowdfunding my new trombone dream!

- I’ve been in love with the trombone ever since I was 9 years old even after I was told “It’s not for girls…”. The trombone, I believe has a sound that conveys the depths pf our soul and playing it always felt like a completion of my expression. I love the Trombone I have which is the same one I’ve played since I was 17. Even as I love it, I need to admit it is a decent trombone and not a professional one. If you know my music you know how the trombone is often a star in my songs and so I always dreamed of playing a professional one. But it an expensive instrument. So I waited. Now the wait can be over. With the help of B.A.C Instruments and you!

B.A.C instruments has offered me to match any donation I can get through crowd funding and create a custom made trombone for me!
The new instrument would be light, have a warm sound, the slide will be made of nickel, the bell from copper and designed in such a way to make it easier to travel with as it will meet all those airline instruments on board regulations. The design will also incorporate a symbol that enhances my heritage - the symbol of my grandmother ’s tribe in Morocco. She inspired my love for Ladino and my desire to write music in Ladino. This will be a tribute to her too every time I’ll play it.

The goal is to collect the trombone on my next US tour and premiere it on my official showcase at SXSW Festival this coming February!

That's totally true. I had a sticker on my bedroom door when I was in highschool that stated exactly that.
How do you make it smaller without changing the key?
As you probably know - the bell is shorter than the slide but the screw into each other. So you need to make the slide shorter and the bell longer in order to keep the pitch. Do you play trombone as well?
