You seem to be under the false apprehension that Rangers is King's only concern. His bread and butter is in South Aftica. The club was not in a bad shape when he left, quite the reverse. Once he resigned as Chairman, he became just a ahareholder. Just as I am a shareholder, it does NOT give either of us carte blanche to walk in to the club whenever we like. He may have a 14% share and me only a mere fraction of 1%, but at the end of the day, all it gives him is more votes than me at an AGM.
Does anyone of decent morals think that the Rangers fans have contributed to his health provblems? Mans a legend for helping to save our club and you still like to pick pick at the scab. Shame on you!

A Chairman is most certainly not just a 'figurehead' as you state Stevie. He may have been many, many years ago but now he has a strategic leadership role. A chairman plays a crucial role in driving innovation, managing risks, and ensuring the organisation's long-term success.
Shows you how clueless some of our fans are, he was not just the chairman, he was major investor .Without him (and others ) we would be realy struggling (and that is putting it mildly )
Good discussion guys and for me the Boardroom question is massive, especially around the King V Park issue. This situation has to be resolved because as it stands we cannot move forward!! Two leading shareholders at loggerheads makes progress extremely difficult & toxic!! 🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧

People talk like the King v Park thing is a clash of egos, some toxic one upmanship. God knows we can all criticise King, but he is a major shareholder, not someone with corporate governance responsibility. Under the Parks, for all their virtues, it has been constant doom cycle decline. He has analysed the issues correctly. That doesn’t mean he’s the man to fix it, but he’s the only loud voice I’ve heard say it.
We need king back but going forward we need a hands on chairman that lives in Scotland

Cant agree with your position on the stadium not being on Bennett. It happened on his watch. He chose to delegate ownership of that task, by default he should have ensured the person being delegated was competent. Wish John all the best and there is no doubt he was dealt a tough hand, but his tenure will go down as an abject disaster.
