Jeff had a chance to see these windows in person at IBS 2024 and shares his thoughts and some of the unique features that make these windows stand out in the industry.
Houston Window Experts: houstonwindowe...
Only another couple of weeks to go before mine start getting installed.
Woohoo!!
Do you offer integrated awnings/sunshades with any of your window systems?
Some manufacturers do. They fail often, so many don't like to offer it.
@@HoustonWindowExperts Do they fail from a lack of expertise on the installer or from insufficient strength of the engineered window system?
I've only put them on commercial aluminum frames, which are a different beast than residential systems. I'm just curious
Thanks for your time
From what I've seen, they're just not very robust because I need to fit into a very small footprint between the pains of glass. Plus, if they fail, they're not easy to replace. It is very costly when you have to replace the entire glass unit.
@@HoustonWindowExperts I've only ever replaced single panes of glass in old style vinyl windows, with the blade stops.
Alot of new residential windows seem to be screwed together at the corners. Do you need to pull the frame out to replace glass?
That would be damned costly
Most residential windows have glazing beads that are easily removed for glass swaps. It's not hard at all.
When you come to Dallas?, may I go work for you?
We should talk!

Is this expanded view its own series or under panoramic or del mar series?
It's available in the DelMar and Coronado series.
Are these expanded view the same frame thickness when compared to the panoramic series expanded view?
It's the same frame depth, but there is more glass in the width.
How much more glass in the width does the Del Mar expanded have compared to the panoramic expanded view windows?
