- The above video is recording of the regular ICU classes taken by Dr. Ankur Gupta (Intensivist) in the hospital.
This video explains and discuss the Basics of Invasive Mechanical Ventilator Graphs and Waveforms in ICU. In first half the basics is discussed and in later half, graphs are seen on the running ventilator in ICU.
Those are new to this topic, It is highly recommended to watch the video on "Master basics of invasive mechanical ventilation in 45 minutes " in ICU. The link is given below:

Thank you so much, sir. I am in my 1st year of residency in Critical Care Medicine, and these ventilator graphs have always been a source of confusion and frustration for me. Your lecture has clarified thid aspect. I am now able to decipher these graphs and loops. Thank you so much!
Thanks for this . Do share your experience

Awesome. Thanks a lot
Most welcome!
Thank you sir for these amazing lectures. As an MO in ICU these graphs were always confusing for me. Your explanation have made them lucid and easy to grasp. Now I am more confident in handling ventilator patients and come to a proper diagnosis by seeing the graph.
wow nice to hear this... planning to make an updated lecture on this again.
@@TheICUChannel Sir can you also make a video about other non invasive ventilation methods like bipap and hfnc and in which conditions they are to be preferred.

oh wow... so nice of you ... many many thanks for the words.
Sir, kindly make video on IV fluid administration (which fluid?, at what rate?, how to monitor the outcome of fluid administration?) It is the most basic thing which we have been doing in a haphazard way. Particularly consider diseases like DENGUE, DKA, HONK, SEPSIS, METABOLIC ALKALOSIS.
THANKS.
Noted , thanks for suggestion
Sir kindly explain PRVC Mode of ventilation in depth.... Please...🙏🙏🙏
thanks for wonderful video...Kindly make videos on case presentations and protocols followed in the ICU ...it will be very helpful .. 👍

Sooperb class sir .....felt eye opening. .....
But in last flow volume ulta dikhaya aapne....
Anyhow .it was awesome explaination..loved it
Thanks for comments ... for graph that’s why we posted a info message in between.
Sir in flow volume loop , it looks flow plotted on y axis and volume on x axis....but u have shown flow on x axis ..
Will check that , but I think you the message behind the explaination
please do a lecture on P/V tool how we set the PEEP by using P/V tool .
Please submit here ,

Sir plz make a video on troubleshoot on mechanical ventilation
noted.
"In spirometry the expiration phase is above and inspiration is below... so there was no need for correction as the speaker is delivering the correct concept"
Please note it... spirometry curve is opposite to that of flow-volume curve used in ventilator
There are some points I do not agree. As an RT everything from waveforms and loops are important and used without looking at the numbers. Still a great video and there’s more to it in mechanical ventilation
Appreciate .
There’s a lot in mechanical ventilation but to start with these are the ‘necessary’ info not the ‘sufficient’ ones .
Sir please make a separate video about ATLS.
ok, noted.
even i felt the need for it.
Sir..vedio about trouble shooting ?
Yes pending … will make soon
Trigger ko minus mai kab aur plus mai kab rakhna hai
It usually doesn’t require adjustment … 2-3 enough …
Share your troubles shooting waveform
Soon

Ventilator modes in detail please
Thank u sir from nepal
Thanks from India … ventilator modes already in video, what u want extra ?
sir can we use bipap machine st mode for endotracheal intubation in limited resourse setup
second one is can we use cpap mask while giving cpr?
kindly reply sir
if you can't intubate, AMBU mask ventilation can be done. but endotracheal intubation is available even in the smallest icus, very cheap and should be available. means if ventilator is there, intubation equipment will also be there. biPAP can't be used as patient will not trigger breaths, you have to AMBU.
@@TheICUChannel thanku sir
Sir pl give your no , I want to learn Total PFT from you , you are very very good teacher ,
Sir ap bhagwan ho....paul marino ko tarah

Sir U can teach in Hindi if uncomfortable in English..otherwise good lecture sir
Always comfortable in Hindi …. But the issue is our students are from many countries so I have to convey in that language 😇 (concepts to be conveyed to maximum )… can have a separate Hindi channe though
Sir please explain in hindi
earlier we did it in that, but as the audience is now global, we have continued in english (as my english is also not good)
Could have been explained in a better way
Suggest the way .
@@TheICUChannel concepts were not fully clear, more logic should have been incorporated
Send your suggestions to us at drankur @ esbicm.org … do mention what u didn’t understand or what concepts would have been better explained . We will review them.
Too sad we can't understand his English
where did u faced the issue ? which part?
Subscribed sir.❤
Thank you Sir
Thank you sir
Thanks , it helped
