@@erniekopasz5760 it was cool though. It was hot but the dirt was nice and consistently watered. i agree with you on a few sections though. That bump jump by the back rollers where the tree is, is weird. They made it so when you bump off, you're basically landing into a dip that has more raised dirt RIGHT after it. It's a rough landing. I subbed to your channel btw. Like the vids 🤘
@@COWASOGGY, Right on, thanks. Haven't been there for a while. My old and broken down body is forcing me to take a break from the dirt bikes. When I get back on I'll go and check it out.
Dude....but when you get ON the bike, the thought of the price of it goes away and your mind is absolutely free. My bike was the best thing i've ever bought. It is an incredible workout and makes you feel alive
That's Elsinore for you. Scooping out the middles and knuckling the landings on the vet track. It looks like they brought back an old favorite of theirs on 1 or 2 of 'em and rose the take off lip a foot or so over the table itself as well. You talk to the people there, and they blame it on the track crew not being riders themselves. Historically, enough people wad up and hurt themselves then they remove the knuckles and the raised take-off lips, but they still have steep take off ramps. With so many better tracks around here it's a wonder why people still go there Good job with the vid as always Ernie
It's actually the opposite. The main track builder is an AMA pro rider. Apparently he builds what he likes and doesn't take into account the lesser skilled (98% of us) riders when he builds the tracks there. That said, I have defended this facility many times over the last couple years. Over the last few months the riders have been telling them about increasing technicality of the vet track builds and the difficulty for the beginner/novice/older aged riders but the tracks remain the same, or become even more difficult. I'd really like to sit down with the owners and express to them the difficulty us beginner/novice/older guys are having with the track.
@@erniekopasz5760 Completely agree with both of you. Elsinore used to be great when it reopened under current ownership. The vet track was for VETS, the IV Vet was for VETS. Me and my buddies stopped going there when they made the ridiculous jumps with super steep lips, the lips higher than the landings and the knuckles on the landings. I exclusively ride Glen Helen vet and national track now. The ridiculous thing is that GH national track is literally a less advanced track than elsinore VET AND IV , but that's where all the pros and ex pros ride and race. Elsinore's main track is EMPTY. If someone thinks that a vet track is beneath them, then go out on the main track. It's ridiculous. I've complained so many times over the last several months, but just gave up, because it keeps getting worse and worse. I heard they changed the track again, and wanted to check it out on youtube- looks like a bummer again. I like the place and the people seem very friendly and I certainly want them to succeed, but it is just not worth it to ride a track like that. If you come up short you land super hard and being that I am a VET and not young, it friggin hurts my back. Also, I am very far from being fast, but certainly can keep the pace up on Glen Helens vet track, and won a 40+ race on the national track, so it's not like I just started. My skill level is VET, that's what I want from a vet track. My buddies are mostly faster than me, and they want the same. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK - WE WILL AGAIN BE THERE EVERY FRIDAY!!!
@@ECVBODIE64, I think the thing that I'm most displeased with is they have the IV and main tracks for those who like to air mail the jumps. I'm too old to be shot up into the sky and even if you nail the landing it is still a jolt from that altitude. But, it's their track and they can build it whatever way they want. I understand that you can't please everyone but maybe lost customers and the associated income will get them to understand that they need to listen to their customers a little closer. I know I won't be back until they make it more ridable for us old guys.
Perris just did the same thing. their new vet track is way too gnarly for beginners and intermediate riders. so now main track guys have a 2nd option while the rest of us take our $ and go to Glen Helen lololol
I read your post a few days ago and tamed down the take offs on the Vet we are also rounding off the landings to do away with the knuckles. I am very approachable and always listen to the riders
Pala vet has a ton of fun jumps on it and it’s relatively safe. Glen Helen is actually more dangerous with the high speeds and no jumps. More friends have been seriously injured at GH because of the speeds
Blaming the track is pointless because it is usually pilot error that gets ourselves hurt. Meaning, we sometimes ride faster, or are too unskilled to be traveling at those speeds and run out of talent. And, the sport is inherently dangerous and we could get hurt at any track. Yes, GH is higher speed than many local tracks but IMHO. it is up to us to ride within our abilities.
@@erniekopasz5760 I see what your saying but you guys are complaining about the new vet track. The main is actually safe if you scub or roll the big jumps. It’s a fun track

beg to differ here. I rode GH vet track yesterday and it was my first time on a MX track. Yes it's a fast track due to having more natural terrain than jumps, but having come from doing desert races and trail riding its a good track. I didn't find it dangerous at all and regularly go faster than I did there in the desert riding solo.
Nice. I was there yesterday. It is a little different

“Jump faces are real steep” the perception between different people is wild. That vet track is super flat 😂 at least it’s exciting for you
