Great shots! Just found your channel. I've flown in the snow quite a bit. Never had any issues, though if it's warmer snow, the drone comes back soaked. I've lost a few drones flying too close to water and tree tops. Thank goodness for DJI insurance. Lol

Hey! Glad you had a chance to already check out the video. So far the refurb is like a brand new drone, I would never have known the difference. And $150 cheaper! Goes to show the fluffy snow isn’t too bad to fly in! Enjoy 🙏🌨️🚁
@@The-Drone-Guy I sure did mate and it didn’t look like it affected the drone atall! Nice to know! That’s great with the refurbs Ive always been tempted myself but wasn’t sure if they were like new or not, can you still put the care refresh on them too? 👍
@@Drone.vision yes it’s been a great experiment with the refurbished. I’m definitely considering getting some more drones through this option. Also make sure to check out my range test video of the mini 3. Think you’d get a kick out of it plus there is a chance to win some memory cards 🙏🚁
@@The-Drone-Guy That’s brilliant might have to go the refurb root myself then! You can still put your account in them and everything like a new drone then? Oh yea the range test of the mini 3 I’ve already watched and commented on that one, was a great test that could easily have gone further too 🙂, battery looked good on it especially with the wind behind coming back 👍 yea those cards are always a great bonus to keep in your bag !

No I always request permission and I keep my altitude super low. Only certain days of the year you need to stay clear because of Temporary Flight Restrictions
You definitely are never are allowed to fly anywhere near the shipyard or over it! Basically I always stop near waters edge. I’m always focusing on downtown Portsmouth anyways. You can see map of it’s no fly zone on the map in ALOFT and in the UAV forecast app I use
@@The-Drone-Guy I’ve seen the patrol boats ask boaters to move along when they venture too close, so I’ve wondered what limits they’d put on drones nearby.
@@stephcharron9970 totally feel your pain! I hope the temps warm up for you. They are even below 0 during the day?? I have flown my DJI phantom 4 drone as low as -10 so who knows you might be okay. But if it’s your only drone unfortunately best thing might be to wait until temps are in single digits.

I have the mini 2 SE. what is the lowest temp you think it should fly?
I would feel comfortable flying it at single digits Fahrenheit - just keep in mind battery life will most likely be much more limited
