Ok. That was a great video. Your shots showed the basic removals clearly and just enough of the procedure that it should be easy to reference along with the manual.
I am excited to install this in my 2015 RX350 with factory Navigation. Is it still a go? I read somewhere that there was a required update needed. Has that come out yet?

@@Mike0in0Texas Its working. More details in my comments below. I did find after the install, that I sometimes need to plug/unplug my phone in to get the system to switch over the sound. (Android Auto) Either that or select radio then back to Aux input on my 3RX screen. Other than that little hiccup, its working fine. Music quality through the device is not as good as the OEM BT connection, but, the OEM BT won't work when AA is active - for example, when I want the sound to work with Google assistant or if I want to hear directions step-by-step from Waze. So, its a little funky to use as its not quite as integrated as an OEM system would be, but its far better to have AA on my 3RX big screen than not at all, so I am fairly happy with it. 4 out of 5 stars. I guess you have to decide if its worth spending $500 to get some integration of AA or Carplay with your 3RX. I felt it was.

So amazing! I’d like to have a shop do this and I’d also like to upgrade sound system, install dash cams front & rear, can you give any recommendations for these two other changes and is there any other items you would consider with the car opened like this?

I think he only read the so amazing part lol. Your best and safest option would be buying and getting it installed at best buy. Confirm if they install as well since very few best buys install.
Wow I was thinking of doing this install myself on my 2014... but this looks like a pretty giant job for someone with no experience.
+ I bought the USB adapter so I can have my factory USB run CarPlay. Wish you guys could come to Texas for an install!
Yeah, it is a bit involved for someone with no experience. Wish we can go there!
If you have never taken a car dash apart before, I don't recommend you learn on a 13-15 Lexus RX. Its one of the more involved dashes I've seen.

This is a factory radio. Your factory radio needs to function for this to work
@Beat-Sonic I called a local installer in KC and they said they can't do this. If I can't do it myself, any suggestion on where I can get this done in Kansas City for 2015 RX 350 with navigation?
Hi Alex, Try calling around. If they are willing to read the instructions and watch the DIY video, they will be able to do this.

Where can i buy this unit? This video says it 2013-2015 LEXUS RX Apple CarPlay install, yet the product you list is only for a RX 2016-2019. I own a 2015 RX non Levinson with Nav. Want to buy.
As I heard in the video at 7m he says to use the GS can for an RX. Is that the hack to make this work?

Hi Nick, we have temporarily stopped offering this kit for 2013-2015 RX models with nav as we ran into a bug that we are diagnosing now. Check back in a few months as we should have resolved it by then

Does the LGVIF-CB2 S-Connect model work with the RX-350 in the years 2013-15? I know this guide shows the installation in those model years, but the product page on your website seems to specifically indicate that it only works on the 2016-2019 models. Same with the model for non-navigation. Thanks!
We have temporarily stopped offering it for 13-15 as we found a glitch that affect these models. Still trying to debug it. Check back with us in 3-6 months

Hi I’m from Edmonton Alberta. Looked on your website to make sure my 2015 rx 350 with navigation is compatible but it says it only works for the 2016-2019 rx. Just wanted to know if my vehicle is compatible and if so where I could get it installed from.
We had run into some issues for 2013-2015 RX and have stopped offering it for this model temporarily. We are still working on fixing the issue. Check back with us in 6 months

@Beat-Sonic: There's a LOT of space behind the screen - is it too hot (like in Summer) to mount the 2 Beat-sonic units in that location?
Proto as long as there are enough room you can mount there. The units can take the heat.
@@BeatSonicUS I ended up installing the Beat-Sonic boxes behind the glovebox just as you show in your video. It was just cleaner and easier and pulling the GB wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and putting it back together was fairly easy as well. Actually, putting the entire dash back together was pretty easy. Easier than getting it apart as it was my first time taking apart a 3RX dash.

Will this remove/override factory infotainment menu stuff such as car settings, oem navigation, and hybrid energy monitor? For example, for whatever reason, would I still be able to use oem navigation, adjust lights or seat settings, or view the fuel consumption/energy monitor for the hybrid system?
This will not overrode factory infotainment. You can use all oem functions normally
@Beat-Sonic at 6:30 in the video you either swapped GS CAN for RX CAN or you plugged them in as your harness was not "pre-configured". The kit I received appears to be pre-configured. 2 wires are a different color in my harness vs. the one in this video. Do I need to swap around mine? I have 13RX. The harness I received has blue/black RX CAN to Blue/Blk, then has Orange/Green GS CAN to Blue/Green that is part of the very long cable that goes to the shrink wrapped PCBA (CANBUS board?), and has Orange/Green to Orange/Yellow. Is this configured for my car or do I need to switch around RX CAN for GS CAN ?
Additional Comment: This isn't covered in the installation manual.
Everything we shipped out has been preconfigured and as such this part was left out of the instructions. I apologize for the confusion.
