What that sled set mean? In first pull.
Sled weight setting was deemed good for the class by the track officials therefore the sled was "set" and the class was officially underway.

This happens at far too many motorsports events. Makes you want to organize a gang with a roll of duct tape and, well, shut them up. Speakers usually suck too. I personally go for the engine sounds.

They are not semi trucks. Semi is the term used for a trailer. A semi-trailer has no front axles the truck pulling it is not the semi.
