well the elder dragons would probably beat him but they don't appear in other monsters quests. Some older monsters like rajang, glavenus or zynogre would probably put up a good fight too
It really should've had a Turf War with Nergigante, and given Odogaron's unparalleled aggression and agility, I think it deserved one too. Though it would most certainly lose due to simply not being in the same weight class, I'd like to think it would at least deal some damage to a Deviljho... It has no fear of larger monsters after all.
Legiana is supposed to be the fastest flying monster in MHWorld. Nothing should be able of catching it if it actually tried to use it's speed. But game mechanics hold it down.

Air to ground battle is inherently unfair (which is also why anjanath is not the apex of the jungle; despite being almost as strong as a diablos (their turf war sees anja try to do the same thing jho did here to blos but it isn’t qs powerful so it can only drag diablos around, not straight up lift him up, diablos can tho) simply can't deal with a rathalos; implied ecology suggests that rathalos arriving at the new world threw Anja's dominance of the forest outta whack) so where pure strength is being compared alongside some other factor, those will come into account. A flying wyvern will still be able to peck at jho before getting absolutely trounced but on the ground, where only pure strength is being compared diablos can't hope to do anything.
I'm just imagining this is the same Deviljho everytime and the reason he keeps attacking the other monsters is because he's just really possessive of the hunter

Meanwhile, Nergi's main diet is low-to-mid tier elder dragons, such as Chameleos, Kirin, Teostra, and those among that level. Rajang would get whooped by Nergi (although, it would stand a better chance than Jho, because of the lightning).
Deviljho- a great tactic for shoving your target monsters into a turf war in order for them to be delt high damage, just throw shit at him after the turf war
I remember a Deviljho wrecked a Tzitzi Ya Ku so bad that I actually felt sorry for it. Tzitzi went for a flash and Jho just snatched it up in his mouth and piledrived it to the ground for 900 damage. Then continued to crunch on him for constant 200+ damage before finally tossing him like a rag doll. Tzitzi was in dying status there after lol
