Your content never disappoints Adam. You are one heck of a pilot and a wealth of information when it comes to RC planes. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on how to do some of your 3D maneuvers. I feel if anyone can explain them the best it would be you. I have been trying to do the crankshaft with the E-Flite UMX Timber X like you did and I have been trying for over a month. I can do it with my bigger 3D planes but I can't do it with my UMX Timber X. Thanks again for the upload. I can now fall asleep dreaming I can fly like Adam. lol
Thanks man! Lol, don't dream about me bro. LMAO! Anyway man, have you moved the ball link in to the closest hole to the surface on the rudder and elevator? That will increase the throw and help a lot. We may be able to get to a video like that at some point. In the mean time have I recommended a channel called bonedoc1 to you yet? His videos are older, but they are still the best 3D instruction on YT in my opinion. I learned a lot from him when I started flying 3D.
@@ModelAV8RChannel No you have not recommended him. I will check him out. Sounds awesome. I did move the links to the inside hole on the control surfaces, That helped. I was finally able to pull it off from left to right. Now I'm practicing the other direction. I'm always overthinking things. Lol. Thanks again, Adam. I'll go check out those 3D videos. Much appreciated. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Awesome man, glad you pulled it off! That is an aggressive little UMX. My buddy Dustin and I finally nuked mine acting the fool with it, lol. Enjoy your weekend as well man!
Shame HH dont look after their UK and rest of the world customers with these mega deals im always reading Americans buying their planes with. I have had loads of HH planes but their lack of spares and US only discounts/supply of certain planes makes me think twice about every purchase. However Adam, a great, well thought out and thorough presentation of the 3 choices of Vipers. 🍻
Thanks for the kind words! The reasons affect everyone really. The complexities involved in international shipping, different tax regulations (like VAT), potential customs delays, and the need to adapt marketing strategies to suit specific markets make it much less cost effective for any company. By the same token, I'm not eligible to get the same sale prices you get if I order from a UK based company.
Massively thorough and in-depth review of the lineup, Adam! Being ever the pragmatist, I'd choose the 64mm version... having recently contracted EDF-itis 😳🙃 Great filming by Heidi, as always!
Great demo of all tge Vipers Adam. Having flown all of them and having built the Blackhorse 120mm I have yet to have a viper I didn't like. Personally I prefer the larger ones, that being said the smaller ones are economical and a ton of fun. The Viper airframe is simply fantastic. Great buyers guide my friend!
Kudos for doing this video, Adam. I'm starting to get the EDF itch. And the Viper series has started looking like a pretty good scratch option. Now that Spektrum offers those Smart Pro Air series 120c 4s and 6s packs, in different mAH sizes than their typical size options. The pack choices and flying options for these jets are tempting as Hell. Thanks for this resource, Bro. 👍
Love the series Adam. I wish the sale was on ‘Downunder’ i still fly & love the original Viper by E-Flight ( purchased in LA when released) it flies so well.
Adam Great review and Heidi awesome video recording Adam you know I have the Viper 70 and flew it with help from Billy the club president we buddy box it and it handle great now that my surgery done can't wait to solo. Keep the great video review coming 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Hi Adam, great channel and flying. Ive had a bit of edf time on arrows 50mm hawk. Do you think the e flite 64mm viper or habu ss 50mm are better to learn on and progress on . They both fly slow ? Thanks Adam.
Hey man. I'm assuming you used 4s 2200 in that Hawk? If so, put those in the Viper 64 and you'll love it! Great airplane. More capable than the Hawk, but yet actually easier to fly. The Habu is a great plane as well, uses 3s 1300 to 2200...can't use 4s in that one.
@@ModelAV8RChannel thanks Adam. Yes i have a couple of 4s 2200 packs. Its interesting that you say the viper flys better than the hawk.As i found the hawk to be pretty good in wind and slow flying. However i did miss the rudder on the hawk. The viper does look the business! Cheers K
Yep, the Hawk does fly great. Most of the Arrows 50's do. This 64 Viper is hugely impressive. Having a working rudder opens up a lot, but its more than that...It's just another level. It flies so much bigger than it is.
So I have a 64 mm which is one of my best flyer, scale or accro but every time I land that thing on the runway no matter how smooth it’s she starts to oscillate once the nose gear make contact and the oscillation increases till it actually launch itself and stall … Belly landing are as smooth as they can be and most of the time the fins stay on but I just can’t land it on a hard runway ( short grass is fine no issue ) it always start to oscillate with 1” bounce then 6” bounce then 2’ bounce and stall lol Not much happens beside nose gear bent and nose coming off, both take a second to fix but it doesn’t look good at all lol Coming in fast, slow whatever, my 70 FMS doesn’t do that at all and your 64 doesn’t as well, a bit confused here I try tail heavy, nose heavy, right cg, always start the deadly oscillation…. Just wondering what’s wrong with my landing or maybe the nose gear as I mentioned this doesn’t happen with my other Vipers or Jets in general unless I really mess up and hit nose first but that’s an other issue
@@JeffinLowerAlabamausually the throttle works sweet for most jet but this one keep bouncing out of nowhere literally almost like those LA air pump show car 😂😂😂
It is all about technique. This is a very light jet, so if you don't flare it all the way to a stall upon touchdown, then when the nose comes down (when you're landing too fast) it bounces and raises the nose, that angle of attack makes it go flying again...the first bounce, then it stalls because you're at idle power, and you come down hard again and it just keeps bouncing. Once you're that far behind it, there is no getting it back. This is a form of pilot induced oscillation. The key is an extended flare...hold it off as long as it will let you, then when it touches down, it will stay there. If your first bounce is a big one...don't try to save it...full power and smoothly go around.
@@ModelAV8RChannelI have no issue doing so with my other jets and they just roll without any sort of even nose bounce but this one right there I can keep the nose use for 10’ after the main touch down and even if I m about 3” with the nose as soon as the wheel touch the ground it bounce back lol I’ll try to make a video next time at the field
Yes, they all have the potential to as AS3X+ has a nose wheel gyro. You have to put the nose wheel steering in its own RX slot, so with the 64 you could do it straight away. With the 70 and 90 you'd need to install an 8 ch AS3X+ RX.

A great review of the Vipers on offer from E-flite Adam and Heidi, the problem now is I want them all 🤣😂
Thanks Ian! I know that feeling...
Adam fantastic Eflite Viper family comparison review and flying. Heidi your videos are amazing. Zoom zoom zoom X3. Jeff in LA USA.
Thanks Jeff, We appreciate the kind words!
Nice job, Adam! I really enjoyed that… I want that 90! Thanks again

Thank you Gina! I think you'd really enjoy the 64! With the thrust reverse...you could stop it on your runway.
a great look at the options 😎👍👍
The 90, hands down. Easily the best jet HH has ever sold.
Best sport jet for sure. Very impressed with it.
Very informative - excellent 'air show' display. The AV8R team packed quite a lot into not too long of a video !
Thanks! We try to cram as much in as we can in a reasonable amount of time, so we can get to the flying, lol.

Great comparison.. I can see getting all three, but for me the Viper 90 would be the crown jewel.. Thanks for sharing this video..

👌nice
Thank you! Cheers!
What viper is right for me ……?
All of them !
Had the 70 liked it, have the 90 love it , now seeing you fly the 64 …..probably gonna have to get it
I hear you, they are all great! That 64 is a fun one.
I can see myself arriving at that answer, too.
Now, how do I convince my wife that I only bought one and it just kept multiplying? 👍

I get nice landings by using the throttle for the touch downs. Just smoothly backing off the throttle until the wheels touch. Jeff in LA USA.
