- When I told people I was flying to this country, most people asked one question - why! So I took a flight on an Aeroflot A321 to find out what was there.

Love how the Aeroflot Cabin Crew look like figures from a Captain Scarlet movie, Bald and Bankrupt in the air haha!
Impeccable Russian Noel, Spasibo a takzhe do svidanyia !
The answer of "why?" is because Kyrgyzstan is one of the most magnificent and beautiful countries I've ever been to. I was in awe of the scenery, and the people were great, I hope to be get back one day.
I flew Aeroflot opposite of your last videos (Bishkek to Moscow to London) on the way back from that trip in 2015.
Id go just about anywhere possible if I could. Lol
Tiny country? It's bigger than England (& Wales), mate! Interesting destination choice - looking forward to seeing some unusual airlines.
well small in relation to the other former soviet republics
Yeah its a beautiful country
1/10 of the population.
Tiny in comparison to Russia.
@@Tarv1 It's the 6th largest former soviet republic of the 14 there are (not including RF). Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus are lager, and Tajikstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova and Armenia are smaller.
The second breakfast looked a lot more appetising than the first one
I’ve just purchased a Kyrgyzstan guidebook so great timing. Why not just pre-book a car service to avoid the haggling? I always do that with a new country.
That was expensive, Noel. I would have expected the flight to be way cheaper. Thanks for sharing.
Russian price politics is kinda weird
Russia has a pretty well developed train network, so most tourists will use those instead of planes, leaving only business passengers who usually are fine with paying more. Most politicians fly business class, considering it’s between two capital cities Aeroflot can probably make quite a lot of money off of that
@@ivna there is one problem
Train tickets in russia are twice expensive than plane
The cab driver tried to high 5 or shake Noel hand on 13:08, thought the deal was done, lol.
Nice one, seems like you enjoyed Aeroflot’s service!
I like when you also show us other things about your travels apart from the aviation stuff
Another great video! Imagine a crossover episode with Bald and bankrupt...
I spend 2 weeks in Kyrgyzstan back in the end of 2019 and it is an incredibly beautiful country, can't wait to go back - keep up the good work Noel love the videos
Hi Noel,
The aircraft looks great and the service looked amazing. I look forward to your coming videos in far off lands.
Stay safe my friend.
Kind regards
DS
Loving the old Audi 80 taxi, absolute classic here in the UK
The last Audi 80 in Taxi service we have seen was in Thessalonikki. Reliable car indeed.
Nice video... thanks Noel Philips for sharing this trip.
A suggestion. How 0about giving Cubana the Noel treatment?
Be cool to see a flight review on a Russian built widebody!!!!
Noel in search of the Soviet Mosaic? Show us something Soviet Noel, please! B&B has been MIA so you must carry on for him while you're there in the Former Soviet Union. For Queen and Country!
There is something so relaxing about watching British people doing things and talking about it
It is like a drug but cheaper
I agree. I also watch a British bloke going around restaurants with a foldable table.
@@dingle849 rate my takeaway. Back on the road hoh hoh😀👍
a real adventure this time around Noel, looking forward to it
Fantastic opportunity to travel around Central Asia . Really impressed with Aeroflot
Damn I've always loved the Aeroflot uniforms, those flight attendants are representing the airline well.
Great vlog as always!
Have you thought of doing specific hotel reviews? Could be pretty interesting. A Sort of carwow review of hotels could be fun 😎
I would, but I also drove there as part of the Mongol Rally 2019. Absolutely beautiful country and very friendly people.
Love your vlogs, specially when they go to slightly off the beaten track. Eagerly looking forward to learning about an unknown country (for me, at least) and various airlines.
Glad you like them!
Manas internation used to be the main transit center for coalition troops in Afghanistan. 7 years ago you would have seen KC-135s, C-5s, C-17s, and C-130s packing the ramp.
Excellent video there Noel!
I’ve visited Bishkek a number of times and have always had an enjoyable experience. Aeroflot continues to be one of my favorite airlines, across the Atlantic and around the CIS.
Good video, Fabulous Music. Thanks Noel
Keep the vids coming Noel fantastic as always
Great video Noel. Aeroflot seem to have really raised their game in recent years, looked like a very relaxed flight.
Cab driver funny and friendly. Stay safe.
Thoroughly entertaining episode. Flight looked enjoyable, Completed by your chauffeur service
Great video Noel you have done it again really love it as always down to the point no bull shit like bloggers do ,
Keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌
Great video Noel as always.
Great video! ✈️
Wow! That was an expensive flight... I'm very much looking forward to your review of the area.
Never been on Aeroflot! Really enjoyed this video.
Aeroflot is pretty good these days. Great video Noel!
Brilliant it's great were you gave us all an insight into far slung parts of the world, great video noal
Can foresee the news headline...."Popular RUclipsr was last seen haggling with an unlicensed taxi in...."!
My last Aeroflot flight to Bishkek (Frunse) was on CCCP-85369 from Domodedovo back in November 1983... :-)
Noel you owe the taxi driver some money. £20 for a 40 minute journey is a bargain 🤣
Maybe in London
Be about $A100 in Brisbane Australia
Would like to have a look around that city a la Bald and Broke
Where I live in Bristol on a night out it's minimum of £20-£25 to get home from the centre which is about 6 miles from my house.
Agreed. £20 for 40 mins is a bargain.
great video noel keep the vid coming
Thanks, will do!
I think we should just settle on saying, you are an ardent supporter, of the international taxi driving community.
Hey Noel, loved the video. When you entered the Moscow lounge, did you just learn a few basic Russian Formalities or can you speak a bit of russian? Either way love the content and always look forward to your uploads it helps me as I haven't been on a plane in around 3 years and I really miss it!! Keep up the amazing work!! All the best mate!
He's been to Russia multiple times
Aeroflot's service to former Soviet countries has drastically improved over the years, even their economy class product is fantastic, with good food and excellent service. You should try their new product onboard their A320/A321 neos. I can't wait to fly with them again soon.
Great review. Thanks
Flew one of their A321 a while ago after being lead in to the wrong gate first. Walked in to the intitial plane which was a Donavia TU154. Exciting to fly one of those, but seeing the interior, I was happy it that we were lead to the right plane after.
Its seems you are well versed in a few languages 😉 excellent content as always 👌
I look forward to your videos touring around Bishkek.
Give us a tour of Bishkek! I used to fly over it on the Y1 and have always wanted to go for a look
the flight was so nice that wish i board the plane good luck Noel
Wonder how many SkyTeam miles that moth at 3:53 has? :)
You missed an important feature of this type of seat - it has a power socket!
It is located in the armrest right near you (and not between the seats like in other airlines).
I legit thought I might see a line on the ground when you were landing into Bishkek Noel LOL
Great video as always, Noel. What lapel mic are you using? Despite the aircraft noise it still sounded pretty good.
Nice Business Class seating & food service. Posh hotel
I would! I'm up for any adventure :) I have a friend who spent two years in Kyrgyzstan working for a NGO. He quite liked it. Sheremetyevo in the 90s was a dark and dingy place; lots of barking soldiers, squirrely and rude staff, and no food.
Great video Noel, I'm a new subscriber and this is the best travel guide on RUclips
TBH, I'd kind of would like to see city exploration vlogs.. Noel goes to so many places, it'd be very interesting.
They get what they can get in terms of price, dont blame them. £20 means more to that guy than it does to you.
I thought the same. They need to put their prices up as £20 for a 40 min taxi ride doesn't seem that unreasonable.
It's €25 for 5km and 8 mins Santorini
Hell, I got conned into paying $20 to get from the Budget Car Rental in downtown Miami to the cruise terminal at PortMiami in the days before Uber.
@@adriancarey7848 OK that's just blatent robbery !
Price went up when you told him "Hyatt Regency please."
I’m intrigued by what the green sauce was? Food looked great!
Did you get a new camera? The quality of this video seem amazing!
You forgot to mention that you were in business class. The other side of Victory Square is a really good hotel, Достук. I prefer it to the Hyatt as it not just another Hyatt, the problem with the big chains is that once inside you could be anywhere in the world as they're all the same.
Aeroflot seemed a good way to fly, a big improvement on days past. Bishkek was surprising, I expected to see a run down old city.
Hi love your channel - ? May I ask for bit of advice whare do you book all your cheap flights from is it just on they own website or many thanks ,
I answered ‘yes’ even before I knew where you were going.
Breakfast on most flights is a pretty awful concoction ..very rare to get eggs that cooked ok !
i enjoyed as always great service on aeroflot
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing video,thank you.
Taxis love Noel
I really enjoyed this video, Aeroflot offered good service, but it wasn't cheap was it?
Nice one😎😎😎 Noel
Have you flown to Panama yet? If you havent i recommend sitting on the left side :) love your videos
Expensive indeed! In the states we call that “highway robbery”.
Yes, did back in 2008. Bishkek airport has improved a lot. I found my check in baggage in a room which I'm sure we're just thrown off the baggage carts onto the floor.
Really good Russian pronunciation for 'hello'- здравствуйте!! I was impressed. Suspiciously good in fact....
✈️ Noel, you should plan a flight from Riga with AirBaltics Airbus A220-300 a.k.a CS300, and compare the flight with the inaugural flight witch you took 4.5y ago 😊 And also it would be an 'quality' update because, back in the day video was 360p and without any stabilizer.
That cheese!!!!!! It’s served as the greatest delicacy anywhere I’ve been in eastern Eastern Europe. I was served so much. It’s a nice cheese, but perhaps not as an only food source.
Any airline that gives me chocolate before landing has my heart. Wings optional, engines optional, chocolate (upon landing) necessary.
I didn't fly to Bishkek - I went there by bus from China and Kazakhstan.
Hi Noel. Excellent video. How did you get your Russian & Kyrgyz visas? Cheers
Absolutely loving the Russian and CIS stuff man :D be interested to see more!
I wasn't sure where to ask this so have picked a recent vid. Have you got any plans to fly to St Helena, the small island in the south Atlantic? I think the airport there only opened a few years ago.
I would love to visit. Unfortunately you can only get through South Africa which is closed to us right now. I have a lot to do down there when they open though!
Great video
I fully expect to see you fly some shady local airline in Bishkek to somewhere I’ve never heard of!
My first actual memory of flying was at the age of 9, when we went by Aэрофлoт (in those days they only had only Cyrillic characters on their planes) from Oslo to Moscow. We stayed 72 hours in Moscow, mainly in the hotel, and took Aeroflot for the second leg of our journey from Moscow to Karachi. This was in December 1979. I had flown before this particular trip, I can't recollect it, as I would have been below the age of 2. I believe the aircraft was a TU-154, but can't be certain. All I remember is that the engines were ear-piercingly loud and in Oslo they boarded us on the tarmac with engines already running. It was so loud, my ears hurt for hours afterwards. The cabin had a nice smell, and the decor was blue. It was the most epic trip for me, as I went above the clouds for the first time in my memory, I got to witness the Soviet Union, and I saw the desert too for the first time as we flew over Central Asia. Good memories. The Russians were cool
Noel it is so nice of you to volunteer to test all these ex Soviet airlines and airport
The seat looks like an electric chair lol 😂
Good video Noel and a dream of mine to visit Bishkek, but I can't stand behind your opinion on the "Moscow" Lounge, I was there 18 months ago and it was over crowded and a miserable affair. Nevertheless, love your videos and looking forward to the upcoming journeys out of Bishkek.
Just a question. Is there a way of checking your location inflight whilst still on airplane mode? I would really like to know
goodmorning Noel
The Stews look like they are from the stylish ‘60’s!
Interesting choice of places to visit. One of the reasons I follow your adventures is...this. I'll never go to this part of the planet, so seeing it via your cool videos...one way to check it out without going there. Nice view in the room for sure! So did the Hyatt Regency not have their airport shuttle service running? Yes, I know it was easily 20 km to the airport. Anyways....look forward to seeing your continued adventures!
Do you work or explore the places you visit? Or are you usally in and out for more content?
I last flew Aeroflot in 1984 on an il 62, Cph-mow-Bkk, the inflight service looks to be at bit better now, then i was a chikking and vodka only Airline.
Aeroflot seems to have some great planes and great service. Moscow is on my bucket list!!
Noel showing us the parts of the former Soviet Union that Bald and Bankrupt doesn't show. Airport hotels and lounges. 🙂 I love both your channels. Good stuff.
I lived in Russia for 18 months and flew Aeroflot to Riga, Latvia anytime I needed to leave the country to renew my immigration card and visa. I was surprised by how nice their planes were. They all seemed new and had good service. Their flight attendants are absolutely stunning and I thought it was funny that they wore high heels throughout service. I’ve never been to Kyrgistan but because I was super tan at the time and have curly hair, everyone in Russia thought I was from there (which was funny bc I’m a white girl from America).
The majority of Russians are not caucasian?
@@americanbobtail1 the southern Russia region bordering Turkey and Iran called “Caucasian”.
@@americanbobtail1 Want to see a confused or even angry Russian? Call him a caucasian.
For Russians caucasians are those who live around Caucasus mountains. And they are a bit distinct from Slavs and other Europeans.
Anyway, a "caucasian" is a term from an outdated raical theory used only in the US.
Really interesting
I flew Aeroflot before from Shanghai - Moscow - JFK. I purposely chose the long route just to experience the airline. I would say Aeroflot is a lot better than my usual Delta/American nonstop route!
