- Andrew Garfield and his fellow Tony nominees reflect on their journey with the theatrical Mount Everest.
Marianne Elliott's revival of Tony Kushner's epic masterpiece, Angels in America, has made Broadway history with 11 Tony nominations - the most of any play in Tony Awards history. Among those nominees are Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough, Susan Brown, and Nathan Lane, who spoke about their journey from London's West End to Broadway. It was a trip few of them wanted to take, but one they knew they had to. Needless to say, we're glad they did.
Denise Gough is a gem 💎
This is such a masterpiece. I saw both in one day and was so glad I did! I won the ticket lottery on a Wednesday. Best play I’ve ever seen!
Laurett Gannon I’m so jealous of you
I had the good fortune to see it in London. Extraordinary production! Congrats to all involved. Dream cast! Would love to see it again!
Michelangelo, who painted the ceiling of the Sistine chapel, actually tried to run away because he didn’t want to do it
This was the best thing i've ever seen
Andrew Garfield good
The amazing spiderman and Yennefer of Vengerberg together
"I'm comparing angels in America to the Sistine chapel"
AND I WILL NEVER GET TO SEE IT!!!!!!
COME ON PEOPLE! WHERE'S OUR TIME MACHINE SO WE CAN WATCH ANGELS IN AMERICA!
there is a proshot...
THATS EXACTLY WHATS IM SAYING!!! Even tho we have the London proshot, the bway proshot is definitely different (not only bc of Lee Pace and Beth Malone, but different line deliveries and reactions, as well as costumes). I’m pretty sure it’s in the library of Congress, somewhere 😭
andrew garfield would make an excellent witcher
So happy they brought this production to Nyc. One of the best pieces of theater I’ve ever witnessed.
Jack Kelly I guess you I and can’t stop watching videos on Angels In America 😂😂
I love Denise Gogh so much
