*Storyline* Quick thing: When he changes clothes, it's his mindset being changed (: So the meaning of this song is that he was lead on by a girl (we'll call her Jade for now), who wanted his money. She knew he thought she was beautiful, and using that she manipulated him into buying her whatever she wanted. After he fell completely in love with her, she started to realize the extent of her requests could become more and more expensive (Started with a trip to the beach, then a car, then the boat). So the chorus "I'll be your beggar, your fool" is foreshadowing. Because he knows he's being foolish for treating her with whatever she wanted. Back to the first part about her using her beauty though. She was part of a heist (I think that's what it's called?) where they realised that using her, they could get the money. So she planned the whole thing, because she knew Tao would come looking for her, and knew he would do whatever it took to keep her safe. so after he had "saved her", she held him to gunpoint so he'd give her everything. "I have good taste, don't blame me" is him saying how he believes he has the perfect girl", and most of the lyrics are foreshadowing and him expressing his love. Hope that helped!

He was somewhat aware of what she was doing for the fact that he helped her carry out the robbery only to then be betrayed by her in the end.
