Hi Shonya! I love variegated yarns too! I don't really buy yarns. I buy them if I need them, but I like to know how they look worked up, It's fun to see you show them! Take good care!
Hi shonya, thank you for sharing the yarn, gorgeous colours love to knit with it. Thank you for the huge shout out, yes I am a knitter and knit lots of hats, but this year I really got into crocheting 🧶, especially crocheting scarves which I love. Can’t wait to see the next video. 💜💜💜the yarn with the fizz I would knit on 4:5 knitting needles for beanies
Nice yarn review. I don't have a Hobby Lobby close but you always make me wish I did 🥰 The soft and sleek, first yarn color made me think of a calico kitty cat. The Ethereal Eyelash looks a lot like the Caron Latte and that is a perfect yarn to work with. Your review was perfect. ❤️❤️❤️ And while I was watching the video, from another room, my daughter called out, Is that Pinky Hooks?? You famous!! 🥰
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. You are awesome. I LOVE love love Hobby Lobby yarn, and soft and sleek is my favorite. ( Don't try their chunky, though. It splits, untwists, and is really difficult to work with.) I agree, the Soft and Sleek is a bit expensive, but it so soft, comfortable to work with for my arthritic hands, and really is a pleasure to work with. It also holds up so nicely with washing and wearing. Hobby Lobby yarn is 30% off every other week, and so, every other week, I'm at Hobby Lobby feeding my addiction.
Hello West Wind and welcome! Nice to meet another Hobby Lobby addict! LOL. I know all about the way they rotate their sales because I'm there all the time. Heck, I'm even there in between the sale because I can't help myself. I'm not really a chunky yarn person. I've never really been drawn to chunky yarn too much unless it's like Burnett's blanket yarn. I will work with it from time to time but not my favorite yarn. However I do like to use it for certain projects. It was very nice to meet you and thank you again for watching. Stay tuned for a lot of giveaways coming up. The current giveaway is thread so I'm not sure if you would be interested in that but you can find it on my channel because the drawing isn't until tomorrow night. I have arthritis and cervical stenosis as well so even though I still crochet with thread it's very little. Nevertheless there's something for everyone here. I hope you have a great day
Ahhh thank you for this review!! I'm going to get some of the eyelash yarn and make some berets. 😍 I just made the Parisienne beret with a skein of yarn bee warm and cozy, and I was so sad to see they discontinued it... I saw this yarn on the website and am so glad I found your review on it.
Happy Sunday! Now that's a idea that I never thought of doing with the eyelash yarn from Hobby Lobby. I am so interested in seeing how that turns out for you. I was disappointed that they discontinued the warm and cozy too. It always seems like when we find yarns that we are absolutely crazy about the vendor will discontinue it. How sad. I'm glad that you stop by and I hope that you will stick around. For the month of July I will get back into my crochet life and yarn reviews as I've been so busy with other things. Have a great day and thanks for watching.
love the way the ethereal eyelash looks! i’ve had my eye on it for awhile then found a hoodie pattern i wanted to make with it, & i had no idea about the polyamide! so i’m thinking it’s gonna be a perfect yarn for the project! also, so glad you said it was more of a 4 because i thought the same thing! thank you for this video! 💕
Hi Reese! A hoodie sounds like an interesting project. The only thing I would be concerned about is that yarn doesn't seem to stretch 🤔. Will you make an oversized hoodie?
@@pinkyhooks4939 i didn’t even think about that! i found the pattern & it said it needed a 4 weight so i was mostly just worried if i could meet gauge with it (because it felt more like a 4 to me but says 5). 😂 maybe i should size up the hoodie?
@reesefutch1911 I would size up one size especially if it's going to be a pull over hoodie. Plus, we don't know how this yarn is going to act in the wash! Lol
I used to work in a yarn shop. And any yarn that has long fluffy fibers like this one, always works up much heavier than it looks. I’m using it for an Amigurumi bunny. Has anyone else used it for Amigurumi? A little harder to frog but worth it. Beautiful fuzzy halo.
*New subbie!* ♥♥♥ I bought some of that *Simply Flawless* yarn recently in the color _Mist_ to test for garment stuff. Have you seen't these other new(er) yarns at Hobby Lobby: - Pearlspun - Soft Stitch - The Soft Standard - Smooth Move
What's good D Hall! 😊 Thanks for subbing! I have seen all of the Yarns that you listed except for the pearlspun. I love Hobby Lobby's Yarns I feel like they are good quality and super duper soft. Now I will have to go back tomorrow and look for the Pearl spun. I don't know how I miss that one. Do you crochet or knit?
@@pinkyhooks4939 .... I crochet but I also want to learn to knit Continental style. I love wonderful yarns at a great price point. One of my favorite yarns from HL is *Spinesse.* It's a viscose/poly blend. Yummy! Luscious drape. I used to double-strand it using a bigger hook until I learned to properly work with it. Check it out the next time you visit our favorite place! 😍
@@byDsign I like your style 😎! I most definitely will check into it. That HL spinesse sounds familiar though. 🤔 Ohhhh you got me amped up now on a Sunday morning about some yarn. 🤣
Glad to have found you! I just got a bunch of the the Ethereal Eyelash in teal. I had an afghan pattern for a Chunky 5 yarn that I wanted to use it for. I found that it worked up more like a 4 and didn’t work for my pattern. Looking for a different pattern now. Does Hobby Lobby have free patterns for their yarn?
Good morning Linda! So happy to have you as a subscriber. I did not see a pattern for this from Hobby Lobby. However after I did the review I literally started working with it that night and I have made a toddler's jacket. I still am working on it because I have to put the sleeves on. I'm so glad that someone else is working with it because it does feel like a four but because I've made the jacket it actually looks like I worked with a five ply yarn. I hope to have it finished this weekend. I will search around for you on Hobby Lobby to see if they actually did do a pattern because I actually have to go there today.
Girl you crack me up... old man ear hair... I scared the crap outta my cat cackling. I almost never trust what a yarn company says the weight category is for a yarn. I always take into consideration the fiber (i.e. cotton is heavier than acrylic) and then figure out how many yards there were be if the skein/cake/hank was 100g or 3.5 ounces so I can easily compare it to other yarns I've worked with.
Heyyy there! This summer was Crazy 🤪 I was super busy with moving and unpacking and the extra work load at work. It was hard for me to get any recordings I'm since 4th of July. But I'm back! Hope all is good on your end.😊
Hi Christy 👋 To be honest, I have not had the experience of what happens after washing and drying. The thing that I created was for a gift and I have not heard anything from the person I gifted it to.

I normally use the soft N sleek yarn for color pooling projects. It makes a beautiful argyle like style afghan.
Ohhh, that must be beautiful 😍 I don't know too many people who are good at pooling. I'm a little jealous. 😆 thats 💯 cool 😎
