basically explaining the fifty fifty lawsuit situation bc i got misinformed lol (there’s a TL;DR at the very bottom bc i wrote a lot but there’s a ton of key details): so fifty fifty is signed by a very underground and not well known company called ATTRAKT (pronounced attract) the ceo of ATTRAKT had sold his car and other possessions in order to fund their company and to support fifty fifty and to give them a nice dorm etc etc you get the idea. they debuted November 18, 2022 with their ep “THE FIFTY” that did not get too much attention but as we all know after the released their second ep and first comeback “The Beginning: Cupid” they blew up everywhere with their sing Cupid - Twin Ver. in the series of them blowing up they really took off with you being able to walk into pretty much any grocery store, turn on any radio station, open and social media app etc and hear them. during all this ATTRAKT had announced that they had established a partnership with Warner Records in order to promote them better in America. on May 19 they hit 34,816,579 monthly listener on Spotify which made them the group with the most monthly listeners out of all K-Pop girl groups on the platform. On May 25 it was announced that Fifty Fifty would have a song in the new Barbie movie with the rapper Kali. moving onto the whole lawsuit thing.. on June 23, ATTRAKT announced the member Aran had undergone surgery and would take two months to recover, later on, ATTRAKT announced that they are in the midst of a legal battle against third parties that approached the members trying to get them to sign with them and ignore their contracts with ATTRAKT. on June 26, ATTRAKT stated that there was material evidence that an outside party tried to get Fifty Fifty to join them and that Warner Music Korea (the label ATTRAKT had partnered with) had been involved in the discussions. On June 28, it was revealed that all 4 members of fifty fifty had filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT to suspend current contracts, citing violation of contract and that their reputation had been damaged through media reports. Fifty Fifty claim that ATTRACKT breached their contract by not properly paying them and forcing one member to participate in scheduled activities depsite poor health. ATTRAKT however is stating that an outside company ‘The Givers” which was led by producer Sihan who took part in Cupid approached Warner Music Korea and attempted to sell off Fifty Fifty as well as enticing them to terminate their contract with ATTRAKT. ATTRAKT then reacted out to the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) and asked to postpone the payment for cupid due to the legal battle. TL;DR the members and a producer for Cupid got greedy for money and tried to break their contract and take extra money from ATTRAKT and now their fucked
The song is good But unfortunately both the group and the producer betrayed their company bcz of greed The funny thing is that the ppl who wrote the songs r just students in a musical school or smth so not the producer I forget where they were from but not korea
@RobDinero Fifty fifty filled a lawsuit against their own company Their CEO had sold his car and 10-year-old Rolex to invest on the group and helped them study English and bragged about the girls so much because he liked them and thought of them as his daughters He even gave them a luxurious dorm which is rare for a rookie group from a small and unknown company with not much money But they became greedy and wanted the money Eventhough it's very early to ask for the money bcz rookie groups get paid at least one year after their debut (this goes mostly in companies that r not as big as the big 3 or hybe) And the producer shian decided to sign a promotional contract with Warner music And now korea hates 50 50 and r empathizing with the ceo I'm not 100% sure if it's true tho but that's all I know

A former person under his management defended the girls and supported them. They never asked to be paid. They are also suing for breach of contract if revealing a members personal info that has asked to keep personal.
