DUDE! This is unexpected, I'm literally just finished my Ryujin 1.2 yesterday, and i wonder if you gonna do 2.1 next, and here it is

Seems I was right on time! Those shots were taken from Japanese tv show, TV Champions 2002. For some reason they stopped doing them few years back but Kamiya appeared and came victorious in every single one of them! Jeremy Shaffer appeared in one of the early ones as well.

What are the differences between this and the 3.5?

3.5 has shaped scales that are also wider (5 rows vs 3 rows), scales on the shoulders, different tail and slightly different head.

Mine are never straigth/even/clean (sorry for lack of better word, I'm not a native english speaker) if I do it the way you show after ~ 18:33, so I always have to precrease them before that and it takes ages.. 😢

It's a good idea to practice folding them a bunch of times, my first scales were more than terrible... but it gets better with time, you can of course precrease them but when it comes to 2.1 I find it more enjoyable to just start collapsing with minimal precreasing!

@@OrigamiSage I actually haven't tried 2.1 scales, only 3.5. Maybe 2.1 will turn better because lines are shorter.
