  • Motor control is at the top end of the hierarchy when it comes to mobility/stability work. Do you own the range of motion that you have available to you or are you just renting it?

Hey so I know its been a while, but go check out one of the recent shorts by Movementbydavid! He talks about how he's built up his flexibility with tibialis raises and inversions. I actually came from there looking to see if there was an opposite to the inversion so I could have every angle covered with my feet :3

Love these. Only recently added them in but they help to loosen up the joints and increase bloodflow, great way to end my workout (not part of cooldown, theyre just the final exercise.)

I'm really confused. My physio has given me ankle inversion/eversion exercises with a resistance band. I swear he told me to do the motion that was in this video but when i watch videos of it with a resistance band every single one says to turn the ankle rather than bend it like in this video. Which is it??

Sounds like your doing forefoot inversion/eversion or even adduction/abduction, could be semantics, could be that I don't undestand the question, or that you're doing the wrong type of exercise???

I am 64 years old, recently I had a fall during cycling 🚴 and got hurt on my right foot 5th metatarsal.
During examination the ortho surgeon told me that I also have inversion of right foot which is affecting my walking.
I want to understand how to move smoothly with inversion on one foot. I have enjoyed good mobility all through my life although I have flat feet too.
    Many thanks in advance

A virtual consultation would be beneficial.

I ruptured my Achilles Tendon a year ago and still unable to bend my toes as with plantar flexion ~ beginning to think this is due to possible Sural Nerve damage either upon injury or surgical repair. My question: do you think its possible that the uneven pavement that caused inversion/eversion could have potentially also occurred simultaneously or immediately before/after the fall?

I have no clue, I don't know what your presentation is, I haven't examined you, and I don't know the entire history. This is why everyone deserves a thorough examination.

Which joint performs these two movements?
